Sleeping up to eight guests, and with a very generous garden and airy interior, it could suit two families seeking to escape together or a party of friends looking for a great base for their break away.

Wander into the modern, two-storey house and immediately feel at home in its light-filled rooms. Leave your luggage in the hall and head on through to discover where the fun will take place over the coming days. Make your way into the kitchen/diner, for example, where you can take turns at whipping up hearty feasts and then gather round the table to enjoy them together. Open the doors on to the garden in here on sunny days so everyone can wander outside. Find a handy utility room close by, plus a ground-floor WC. Gather together in the well-proportioned lounge after your busy days out. Unwind on the comfortable seating; switch on the Smart TV with Sky TV to choose a film to watch together or even come up with a game to play to round the day off. Discover there is so much to enjoy in the area, whatever the ages and interests of members of your party. Keen walkers might like to attempt a stretch of the South West Coast Path. Try the 8-mile walk to Instow, for example, which takes you along the Taw and Torridge Estuary, via Bideford and Appledore. Those who prefer pottering in shops and art galleries, and pausing for tea and scones in cafes, might prefer to spend an afternoon in Appledore, which is just 2.5 miles from your base and known for its pretty, narrow streets and independent shops. From here you can also catch a ferry over to Instow in the high season.

Lovely comfortable house and great location. Everything was well thought out and catered for. Very spacious for our family of 8. The games room in the garage was much used.

The house was just perfect, very spacious and well decorated. Very clean. Secure back garden which our dogs loved. Grandchildren spent a lot of time in the games room. The walk down to the sea front is all down hill, however quite a trek back upWithin a 10 minute drive to family parks etc. We would definitely stay again.

What a wonderful place to stay. Everything is thought of & provided in this holiday home from a fully stocked working kitchen to a games room for teenagers. Theres plenty of space for a large family or group of friends to enjoy the property. The beach is only 5 mins down the hill which is perfect. Certainly will be visiting again.

Great location, its on the top of a steep hill so its easy walking down to Westward Ho!, anyone with mobility issues should get a taxi when returning home. Perfection with cleanliness. My only slight negative is that all the pillows are feather, due to having allergies it had been a little uncomfortable, its also tight for 2 cars parke. Great gamesRead more room in the garage should the weather be unkind. My dogs loved the garden chasing each other around, the patio furniture is of great standard. Hide

Unfortunately there was a lack of cleanliness at the property, it had a number of chandeliers all of which had cobwebs on them. There was no hot water until I found that the immersion heater was switched off

Lovely house clean comfortable has everything & more that you need for a holiday. Who ever decorated & furnished this house has really good taste ! Will miss sea view from bedroom window ! We all didnt want to come home. Had a lovely holiday. The owners have thought of everything .would highly recommend.
