Escape to the majestic mountains and tumbling fells of the Wasdale Valley, treating your party to a holiday of discoveries, whether you are tackling the summit of Great Gable or taking a scenic ride on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. Your traditional Lakeland cottage is brimming with home comforts and sleeps up to eight guests across four bedrooms. After your adventures, you’ll have ample space to curl up with a mug of hot cocoa to chat about your day. You’ll also have your own private garden to appreciate the starlit sky at night, best enjoyed after leisurely al fresco drinks and a delicious supper.

Offering a contemporary interior complete with a few rustic details, your accommodation is elegant and comfortable for relaxing. Plan celebratory meals around the table, cooking up a storm with locally sourced ingredients and putting the range of equipment to the test in the country cottage-style kitchen. Adjoining the dining space is a cosy lounge with plush sofas and a TV for film nights. The youngsters can slip away to the snug to play games and unwind; at dusk, gather everyone back together and slip outside to admire the stars. The large garden boasts tremendous views of the area, and there is garden furniture for dining alfresco in fine weather or simply enjoying drinks. At bedtime, you’ll find the pleasant bedrooms upstairs. One of the bedrooms has a handy en-suite, and the remainder share the generous shower room. Off-road parking is available for three cars.

The Western Lakes are renowned for their sheer beauty, and it is easy to see why when you set out to explore. Wast Water is the nearest lake. 1.5 miles away, and is the deepest of the glacial wonders in the national park, home to a thriving population of wildlife. For experienced hikers, Great Gable, Scafell, Kirk Fell and Yewbarrow are a thrilling prospect within 11.5 miles, but there are lots of fells to wander across if you prefer a gentler approach. Ravenglass (10.5 miles) is worth a visit to appreciate the coastal charm of the harbour, shops and restaurants, plus you’ll have the iconic Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. The Cumbrian coastline is a treat for cliff-top strolls and beach walks on windswept afternoons, especially if you head in the direction of Seascale, 8 miles away. Once a bustling seaside resort, Seascale is steeped in history and has quite the reputation for water-based activities including water skiing, surfing and fishing.

Superb location, would recommend just driving in from Gosforth, first time around if its dark, from the South. Really warm, really comfy bed and loved sitting in the conservatory area.

Location is great. Walks from the door. Low and medium level with short drive to high level walks. Conservatory is brill affording a big view of the ever changing scenery and sunset. House itself is warm and comfortable and if you like remote go for it.

Spacious, comfortable, warm cottage spectacularly situated in Wasdale close by the fells. A perfect base to walk the many routes around Wasdale or the nearby. We enjoyed every day of our stay.

The cottage was perfect for a large group, plenty of areas in cottage to relax. Everything is provided for a comfortable stay. If you want to be away from people, phone signal and stay at a beautiful cottage with absolutely breathtaking scenery then the is a perfect location.

Amazing cottage in a fantastic position at the bottom of a fell, perfect. Cottage was spotless when we arrived, very comfortable beds. Lots of room for large family gatherings. Our second holiday in this beautiful home. Lovely views from the cottage. Super comfy beds, warm rooms and fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Bathrooms presented to a high standard. A wonderful cottage in a truly magical location. Like others, we were surprised at the size inside. We didnt have any issues with the internet at all, but spent so much time just looking out of the windows anyway! Well definitely be making a return visit.

We stayed here over Christmas, the cottage was so warm and housed 8 of us and the dog in complete comfort, and there was still plenty of room. We had Christmas dinner at the Boot Inn (20 minute drive) and that was delicious and welcoming. Climbed scarfell pike on boxing day (5 minute drive to the car park). Lovely house in a perfect location to get away from the fireworks. Enjoyed the many walks from the doorstep and even had a swim in Wast water. Comfy beds and lovely bathrooms plenty of space through the house. Unable to use the pasture as the local sheep had inhabited it and taken over. More reason to get out and explore the wilderness.

Fantastic cottage for exploring the Wasdale area. Plenty of space and the outdoor area was perfect for catching the afternoon sun. Although the garden is enclosed, our energetic spaniel discovered he could get over the wall into the field that often had sheep in! The shower in the bathroom was the best we have had in a holiday cottage! Plenty of paRead morerking, more than enough glasses and crockery. A wonderful week in the hot sun at Low Greendale! The location of the property is outstanding - just a 10 minute walk to the drama of Wastwater; Buckbarrow and Middle Fell immediately to the rear of the property and a nice gentle beck side walk just over the road. Low Greendale is the perfect house to truly get away from everything and relax. The location is stunning with both gentle and challenging walks right from the house and the stunning Wast Water lake is just a 10 minute walk away. A stunning holiday home in a breathtaking location. Low Greendale ticks every box for those wanting to enjoy a level of peace and quiet and a pace of life that is hard to attain these days. Wonderful stay! Very remote and Asda delivery was essential for the weeks shopping!
