Bask in the comfort of this delightful property that’s steeped in Lakeland tradition, planning your week around scenic walks, hearty pub lunches and exciting activities. Your abode is spacious yet cosy with roaring wood burners and ample room for nine guests to enjoy socialising together. You’ll be positioned within the peaceful village of Threlkeld close to a museum and several walks leading through the majestic countryside. Spend some time navigating your surroundings, investigating the Castlerigg Stone Circle or venturing into Keswick to peruse the shops and eateries. Known for being the adventure capital of the Lakes, Keswick is also home to Derwentwater, a hot spot for water sports.

Cross the lawn and step through the white-washed exterior to find a sanctuary for all those relaxing evenings you have been looking forward to. Unload your spoils in the marvellous farmhouse-style kitchen, appreciating the chic decor and array of appliances. It’s the perfect setting for cooking up a storm, whether you are tempted by casual dining at the raised table or would prefer something more elaborate in the dining room by candlelight. There are two lounges to divide yourselves between, solving any arguments of whether to play games or watch your favourite films. Both feature wood burners for the added touch of countryside living. The second lounge is on the first floor and benefits from a terrace with views towards Blencathra, just the ticket for evening drinks. At bedtime, there are five bedrooms to choose from, one of which has an en-suite shower room. In terms of convenience, there is a bathroom, a drying room and a separate pantry. Outside, the large garden is a treat to explore, complete with a swing for the children, handy bike storage and parking for up to six cars.

Wonderful house and an incredibly beautiful location. We had an amazing time and the house was perfect for our needs. It would be appreciated if you could include towels in the future, esp for week-long bookings.

Amazing cottage!! Spacious, well equipped, great location and 360 degree breathtaking views. Far away from anywhere enough to feel remote but close enough to not feel isolated, with a short walk into the village and bus stop to get into Keswick, or a lovely 3 mile or so walk along the old railway track and river.
