Plan a stay away in the vibrant Lakeland town of Keswick and share your special break with your family and friends. With accommodation set across three storeys, this lovely property, which dates back to the 1800s, could be perfect for a large family or two smaller families together. With room to sleep eight people across four bedrooms, and also welcoming one of their four-legged friends, it could also suit a party of friends. Find you have ample space here to spread out and enjoy the airy accommodation, as well as to sit outside in the courtyard garden. Make the most of the exceptional location of the house to stroll out to pubs, restaurants and shops. Take your party on hikes through the picturesque surroundings of the Lake District, enjoy long walks by Derwentwater and books tickets for everyone to enjoy a cruise out on the water or to see a production at the Theatre by the Lake.

Make your way into the impressive, stone townhouse, leaving boots and coats in the lobby. From the hall, amble on into the light-filled lounge/diner, where you can all relax together in the cosy glow of the wood burner. Settle down in here too to watch the TV with Freeview or a DVD. Read your books, play games or make your way over to the dining area for a hand of cards perhaps. Dine here as well after cooking up delicious holiday meals in the bright kitchen, where you will find all the equipment you need. Head upstairs to lay your head in one of the inviting bedrooms at the end of each fun-packed day. Make your way up to a half landing, where the chic family bathroom is situated, for a long soak in a hot bubble bath before turning in. Continue on up to the first floor to discover a king-size bedroom, with an en-suite shower room, and a twin bedroom. Further up still, on the second floor, another double bedroom and twin room are situated. These two rooms both enjoy access to the family shower room, with a rainfall shower. Enjoy your courtyard space whenever the weather is warm. Have morning coffee outside after breakfast or a glass of wine together as the sun goes down. The garage houses a useful washing machine, as well as space for bikes and other equipment. Find parking is on the road, subject to availability.

Lace up your boots and stroll approximately 1.5 miles from the house to visit the Castlerigg Stone Circle. Walk less than 0.5 miles to reach the shores of Derwentwater. Embark upon a group hike 10 miles all the way around the lake. Hire your own boat for a fun day out on the water.

Perfect house for a group of friends or large family. Very clean and well equipped. The location allowed the teenagers to walk into and out of town as they pleased and the large lounge and dining table provide space for work and games. Good for dog, with small yard and short walk into Fitz Park. I highly recommend the house for a stay in Keswick.

Perfect house for a group of friends or couple/large family, well equipped beds very comfortable, 3 bathrooms to use which was great for 6 of us. It was a fantastic location although there is no parking space we did find parking for 3 cars very close by, we will definitely return!

Three couples on a mini break for my husband's 60th Birthday, Skimming Stones was perfect! We parked easily in the street, the house was very clean, spacious and comfortable with everything we needed and we were each able to have our own bathroom. Just minutes away from the centre of town we absolutely loved Keswick. We would recommend 'The Square Read moreOrange' tapas restaurant. Great property for groups of walkers! The bedrooms are all spacious and the 3 x bathrooms makes getting up and out in the morning very smooth. I'd definitely come back to this house.

This house is amazing in the beautify town of Keswick. I can fault the accommodation or the way it is furnished loved it The let down is parking no allocated space bumper to bumper and difficult to park which makes loading unloading or using the car a chore. People say its not an issue I disagree there is very little space anywhere near and it is Read morenot even the school holidays. If that is not of concern then book you will not be disappointed in this house. Hide

Fabulous property and in a great location for easy access to hill walks, the park & the town centre. The back yard was a delightful suntrap in the afternoon and we all loved the wall map in the dining room.

Superb location- just a very short walk to shops and restaurants and short drive to super high walks. Plenty of free on-road parking. Very nicely presented house, beautifully decorated, comfortable and ideal for our family of 6. Large dining table for us all to eat together. Kitchen was well equipped. Skimming stones was a lovely house. Well situated for a 10min walk into the town centre. It was lovely and clean when we arrived. An earlier check in would have been great or a later morning check out say 11am or 4pm arrival. It was well equipped kitchen.
