A memorable and exotic experience! A great place to celebrate an 80th birthday, and the oldies bagged the bedroom in the extension where the stairs were not so challenging! The Tower was spotlessly clean, very well equipped, warm and cosy, with an unlimited supply of logs available. Cooking on an AGA was a new experience for us but we managed fine.Read more The ambience in the main lounge was very relaxing. The Castle - Selkirk is a wonderful venue for large families or groups to get together. It is wonderfully atmospheric and its history is displayed everywhere you look. The "great hall" comes into its own at night with a blazing fire in the huge hearth and the snuggly sofas making it ideal for chilling out. I would strongly recommend contacting the Read moreowner for advice on local activities, services etc. My group had a great time and we all agreed we would love to come back and spend even longer there.
