Bank House has seen better days and is need of a good update. The kitchen was equipped but missing basic supplies. The bedrooms were good sizes and had lovely views. The furniture were is bad state. Handles and door hinges coming off. Wardrobe doors not closing. The beds are old, furnishing dated and not clean. The sash windows dont work. BathroomsRead more are adequate but there is mould and slim in the bathrooms. The main issue with the house is that it need of a very good clean up and maintenance. Hide

Bank House exceeded our expectations, there was so much room for our family holiday. It was extremely comfortable. Cooking on an Arga was a new experience which we enjoyed. I would certainly recommend Bank House for anyone wanting a Lakeland holiday in a cosy rustic atmosphere with the most stunning views.

Neglect, in a poor state, generally run-down. Unless your hygiene standards are very low you will not be happy staying in this accommodation. It's disgustingly dirty, especially all the en suite showers. Shabby Chic Bank House Farm is not just Shabby. The garden is similarly neglected. Unusable bench and picnic table. The table rotten and broken theRead more bench thick with slimy moss. Hide

Great location with lovely view. Very well-equipped kitchen, and lovely to have the Aga on! A few niggles: showers were lukewarm for the most part, and we had to download a manual to get the oven up and running, as it had been left off. And the owners should make it clear that there is another holiday property sharing the same building (we found ouRead moret when we heard footsteps on stairs one evening!) which seems to share internal doors. Fortunately they were locked! Hide
