Escape to the far reaches of Cornwall for a special big holiday by the sea, treating your party of ten to a relaxing stay in this fantastic retreat. Based in the traditional seaside village of Gulval, just 2 miles from Marazion you’ll be in a prime position for exploring the spectacular coastline and iconic locations such as Penzance and Newlyn. Catch the surf, bask in the sunshine or tackle the South West Coast Path with a picnic, rounding off your day with a sunset supper gazing across the sea to St Michael’s Mount. Back at the property, toast marshmallows on the fire pit and delve into your welcome pack.

The hub of the home is the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with its contemporary yet cosy furniture and decor that combines neutral tones with bold splashes of colour. Perch at the island whilst your designated chef makes good use of the range of gadgets on offer in the kitchen, or grab a mug of something hot to unwind on the sofas and admire the sea views. On chilly nights, the cinema room is perfect for enjoying snacks and drinks whilst watching an exciting film. Five bedrooms provide restful sleeping quarters when you return from your adventures, two of which boast their own en-suite facilities. There’s also a handy shower room for refreshing yourself, and a fabulous bathroom complete with a bath and separate shower. The pub is on your doorstep for the nights you don’t feel like cooking, but thanks to the BBQ/fire pit you’ll be able to sizzle up a feast in the comfort of your garden. There’s ample lawn space for the children and canine companions to play, and the patio offers spectacular views of the sea over your evening glass of wine.

This stretch of Cornish coastline is renowned for its quintessential seaside towns, beautiful beaches, and impressive historic buildings that have charmed visitors for centuries. Penzance is a treasure trove of shops, bistros and a thriving art scene, but the cobbled streets also carry fascinating stories of pirates and smuggling too. In the opposite direction, Marazion is the top destination for fish and chips at sunset, and in the daytime, you can wander across to St Michael’s Mount at low tide to explore the majestic island. Mousehole, 5 miles away, is a pretty fishing village with rows of traditional cottages and friendly eateries, but no visit is complete without venturing to Land’s End, 11.5 miles away, to soak up the sea vistas and visit the beaches of Sennen Cove. If water sports are your passion, the surf here is excellent, or you can try your hand at kayaking, kiteboarding and diving.

A beautiful, comfortable home in a great location. Very easy to reach nearby attractions. Long Rock beach was great for walking our dogs and there were many other dog-friendly beaches nearby. We had amazing meals at The Harbour Inn, Porthleven and The Boatshed in Penzance. We had a great stay at trehaven, the Outlook was fabulous with plenty to see. The garden was good for the dogs and the accommodation was very comfortable. Would recommend a trip to Porth kidney beach at low tide for the dogs, they can run for miles and the sea is great. Nice afternoon tea at Agapanthas Tea room a short walk from the accommodation. A beautiful bungalow with modern facilities, everything was finished to a very high grade and we could not fault anything. The views were also an added bonus, lovely to have a sea view.

This worked perfectly for our group of 7 adults, 4 children and 3 dogs.
