Arrive and step inside where you are greeted by the grand entrance hall which offers a warm welcome after long journeys. Leave coats and shoes behind and make your way into the spacious kitchen/diner which sits beneath a beautiful, vaulted ceiling. Designate your chosen chef to work wonders in the kitchen, and gather around the island with a glass of something cold to keep them company. Whether they’re cooking up a storm or rustling up side dishes for a sizzling BBQ, plate up either at the dining table, great for formal meals, or outside on the large patio. Open the bi-fold doors to make your way into the garden where you can view the verdant countryside. After muddy walks, step straight into the utility room and wipe off paws and boots. Throw towels in the handy washer/dryer so they are ready for wiping off any mud after tomorrow’s adventures. For an easy stroll close to home, make the 3-mile trip to Thornton Steward Reservoir where you can enjoy a waterside wander with panoramic views over Wensleydale, an abundance of birdlife and picnic benches for a pitstop. Venture into the Yorkshire Dales National Park and discover wonderful landscapes and waterfalls such as West Burton Falls (15 miles). A 27.5-mile journey will take you to the third highest peak in the Yorkshire Dales, Great Shunner Fell. Climb the summit for views across the North Pennines, the Lake District and other fells in the Yorkshire Dales.

Was very spacious, lovely layout, beautiful home decor and immaculately clean. You only needed to bring clothes and food. You literally had everything to hand that was needed. Surroundings were gorgeous, quiet and calming. Would definitely book again

We had a lovely week staying at South Barns. There is plenty to do in the area, with Thorpe Perrow being a particular highlight, as well as day trips to Harrogate and York. If you're bringing a dog, theres a nice circular walk at Masham that starts at the long-stay car park, follows the river, and loops back to the church in the town centre, where Read moreyou'll find a choice of cafes and pubs. This barn has been converted to the highest standard. The furnishings are of a high quality and very tastefully done. The barn provides spacious and comfortable accommodation. The location is fabulous with beautiful views over the Yorkshire countryside.

What an absolutely beautiful spot. Perfect for a family gathering. Views are amazing and the accommodation is very well thought out, well equipped. spotlessly clean and super spacious. South Barn is a beautiful and well thought out barn conversion finished to a very high standard. We had a lovely time, and the location makes it the perfect base to access the Dales. What a fabulous place for a relaxing family holiday! South Barn is stylish, comfortable and perfectly situated for a relaxing break ( even with a toddler). We watched the farmer and his sheep, saw a little owl and hares as well as swallows and curlews. What more could you wish for?!

Wow! What an amazing property this is, it was so incredible that we didn't want to leave. Fantastic for a family get together. with space for everyone. This was a beautiful barn conversion finished to a very high standard. We had a lovely time, despite the weather not being great. Just left South Barn after spending 5 fabulous nights there. Cannot recommend this place enough. We had a family reunion and a special birthday to celebrate and this place was perfect in every way. Had so much space, excellent facilities and outstanding views . We definitely hope to return there.

We had the best holiday. Dogs were knackered! Fresh country air was just what we needed. We wouldnt hesitate staying again and our hosts were amazing for recommendations and help. Cant thank you enough. The place is stunning and set in a beautiful area. Loved it.

A fantastic, spacious and superbly well-equipped cottage situated in a gloriously quiet location, yet not far from the A1. We loved it here and would gladly stay again - ideally in the warmer months when we could open all those glazed doors, sit outside, and admire the view!
