The perfect retreat for families, friends and dogs, this picturesque cottage sleeps ten guests over five bedrooms, with everything you need to keep all ages entertained. Leave young ones in the playroom and sidle off to the lounge where a roaring wood burner creates a welcoming, cosy space to bask in a moment of peace and quiet. This bolthole commands a fantastic location close to the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park where adventures abound. The nearby villages of Abergavenny (8 miles) and Crickhowell (3 miles) are great for pub pitstops after days exploring both locally, and far and wide.

With plenty of charm and traditional rustic features flowing throughout, make yourselves at home amidst exposed beams, feature fireplaces and beautiful stonework. Head straight to the kitchen to load up the cupboards with delicious provisions. Feeding ten guests is an easy feat in this spacious room where there is enough worktop space for lots of chefs to get involved and help prepare ingredients, and a dishwasher is a welcome sight when it comes to clearing up. Whether you fancy a formal three-course meal or a sundowner feast, plate up at the dining table or sizzle up the BBQ and head outside to the terrace to dine alfresco whilst little ones work up an appetite on the play equipment. The wood burner is an inviting creature comfort which welcomes you inside after long days exploring, curl up with a book or switch on the TV in the lounge for some peace and quiet whilst younger ones command the second TV and toys in the playroom. After dinner, join forces in the games room and enjoy a competitive game of table tennis or pool before climbing stairs to the first floor for a relaxing night’s sleep. The five bedrooms are decorated to create tranquil spaces for you to rest your heads, with the master room having access to a terrace - perfect for a late-night tipple or a morning coffee. With so many adventures to choose from, plan your days to make sure you fit everything in, and pack up lots of picnics to keep you energised throughout the day. From your door, head out to climb Llangattock Mountain (less than a mile), The Blorenge (10 miles), and Waun Fach (15.5miles), or travel 3miles to Crickhowell and hop on a path which takes you to Table Mountain. Stop off for a refuelling pitstop in the village or wander the pretty streets which are dotted with shops. The largest natural lake in South Wales, Llangorse, and its activity centre lies 13 miles away and is a great family day out.

We stayed as a group of 11 (six adults, five children) plus two dogs. The house is in a wonderful location with amazing views and neighbouring sheep. Amazing property - couldn't quite believe the size. Plenty of room for our party of 8 and the dog (who loved the outside space). Log burner was an instant hit with us all, especially when the wet weather came in. A fab time was had by all and there have already been discussions about us coming back in the future

What a beautiful place! The location is stunning, and we were able to go on long walks from the house. The approach to the house is VERY steep! but we found that driving the longer route above the house was kinder to our car and easier on our nerves. A perfect place for a friends and family gathering in an idyllic location with gorgeous views. Plenty to do nearby but there is a catch as once you are there you hardly want to leave! Kids loved the outdoor play area and trampoline, also what a treat to have their own game room!!! Really lovely place. We only stayed one night and loved that we were surrounded by beautiful countryside to walk our dogs, would have loved to have stayed longer. A truly wonderful holiday house! Three generations of us aged from 2 to 65 enjoyed a great time. There is plenty to occupy children and adults both inside and out. The trampoline, pedal tractor and table tennis were especially appreciated by the youngsters whilst the loungers were perfect for us to admire the marvellous views. This is a dazzling cottage, which is perfect for family holidays. The location is perched on top of a big hill, with panoramic views all around, and lovely walks from the doorstep.
