Property code: BN222

Sleeping up to 22 guests, this spacious farmhouse in the heart of Brecon Beacons National Park is ideal for a multi-family vacation, or a group of friends looking to spend time together

A brilliant base for lovers of the great outdoors, this charming farmhouse and barn sleep 22 guests over nine bedrooms. With lots of rooms perfect for sociable days and communal mealtimes, fill the rustic, characterful home with laughter, muddy boots fresh from adventure, and two of your dogs. With a trampoline and rope swings, let little ones bounce the night away whilst you challenge competitive guests to a night in the games room. Sitting close to the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Pen y Fan is just 13.5 miles away, and Llangorse Lake is a 19-mile journey and great for days out with family and friends.

Exuding traditional charm retained from its earlier years in the 17th century, this beautiful farmhouse and interconnecting barn conversion commands fabulous views over the valley. Arrive at the dwelling and make yourselves at home, stocking the cupboards with provisions, choosing your bedroom and unpacking. A trio of tables caters for fun-filled sociable dinner times with everyone tucking into a feast and chatting about the adventures to come. The large kitchen, with its bright bursts of colour, has all you need to cook up a storm, with extra island space for chopping and slicing so you can have more than just one designated chef. After days in the great outdoors, head home and relax in the lounge where you can get the wood burner roaring and put on a DVD for a moment of peace and quiet. When it’s time to liven things up, head to the games barn and try to emerge victorious! Snap up the sun in the barn’s conservatory, a great spot for a morning mug of coffee if it’s too chilly to enjoy it alfresco. Completing the barn are a second kitchen and a lounge/diner, and four of the nine bedrooms. Several staircases lead to the farmhouse bedrooms where you must take care of sloping ceilings and low beams before resting your head for the night.

Charming, rustic cottage surrounded by lush countryside. Many bedrooms and interesting layout kept the kids occupied for hours, and a nicely sized dining room with two tables gave enough space for all 19 of us to eat at the same time. If you like walks and wildlife (and you're not put off by a spot of rain) then this is a great place.

The location put this in the top category for those who love the Welsh...or any ..hills. Its direct access on the open moorland is very special. This 'cottage' is a wonderfully restored farmhouse and converted, connected barn. It was ideal for three generations to celebrate an 80th birthday (albeit 2 years late due to covid). Every decade except the 70's was represented and there was something for every generation to love from the wonderful conservatory to the trampoline; from the lambs in Read morethe orchard to the excellent cooking facilities. Lovely walks from the door suited all. We really appreciated the cooperation over changing dates too. Hide
