A wonderfully converted barn, which retains charming original features whilst offering luxurious accommodation for a large group. An ideal rural retreat for escaping the everyday hustle and bustle.

With welcoming, sociable spaces to tempt you back inside after days spent exploring, this beautiful barn conversion is a great base for groups of family and friends with a love of the great outdoors. Come rain or shine, return home and bubble the night away in the hot tub, or cosy up by the wood burner for some peace and quiet. Sleeping ten guests across five rooms, cooking up a storm is a fun task, however, if you fancy a night off then the town of Llanwrtyd Wells is just 1.5 miles away so you can make the short trip and enjoy a meal out with a tipple or two.

Set over split levels, there are many steps up and down throughout this property so take care when moving from room to room. Step inside via a rear entrance and make your way to the ground floor where the heart of the home resides and where creature comforts await. The pair of lounges cater for lively, fun-filled nights with dancing and DVDs, whilst also providing cosy spots in which to curl up and relax whilst you revive yourself from the day’s adventures. When holidaying together, time spent around the table laughing, eating and raising a glass is all-important. The kitchen/diner has all the space you need to enjoy communal dinners and has plenty of room for lots of pairs of hands to slice, saute and serve up a storm! After days in the outdoors, the handy utility room is great for leaving muddy boots so you can warm your feet up on the underfloor heating which flows throughout. Sitting across all levels, with bedrooms on the lower-ground floor, ground floor and first floor, the five bedrooms are beautifully decorated, have lovely views and lots of natural light, and house exposed beams which ooze traditional charm and character. Wake feeling refreshed and take a morning mug of something warm into the enclosed garden to fill your lungs with fresh air and enjoy a relaxing start. There is ample off-road parking.

Sitting north of the Brecon Beacons National Park, there are plenty of outstanding places to visit close to home. However, a day spent climbing Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales, or its smaller neighbours Cribyn and Corn Du, is well worth the 31-mile drive into the heart of the national park. A 17-mile drive takes you to the fascinating RSPB Gwenffrwd-dinas Nature Reserve, a worthy picnic spot where, if you keep your eyes peeled, you should spot an abundance of birdlife. A 7-mile journey, ahead of a steep climb, will take you to the notorious Devil’s Staircase.
