The cottage was perfect for our needs. My dad is disabled and the cottage was accessible with downstairs bedroom and bathroom. It's was a really spacious cottage for all of us including the dogs in the enclosed garden. The cottage had everything we needed and we hope to visit again.

Poplands is a lovely well equipped place to stay especially if you enjoy walking and hiking. It is very close to Symonds Yat with amazing views from the top of the rock. We also visited Puzzlewood and Clearwell Caves. There's a nice Italian restaurant on the high street in nearby Ross on Wye called Avellino which we would recommend.

Well equipped , spacious comfortable house, ideally located for exploring the local area. Fully enclosed safe garden which was great for the dog. Walks from the back garden up into Goodrich village avoided crossing the busy road at the front of the house, although we managed it safely when we did cross it to go down by the river . Absolutely stunniRead moreng walks for miles along the river banks, very peaceful and tranquil, even saw deer in the woods on 2 occasions. We will stay here again. Thanks ! Hide

We had a fabulous Christmas week at Poplands. The owners decorated the house for Christmas, including a Christmas tree and also Christmas bedding. The kitchen was superbly equipped with everything needed to cook at home. The heating was efficient and the wood burner ensured we had cosy evenings. The area is beautiful but the weather and the festiveRead more season meant that we mainly stayed in. Thank you to the generous hosts who provided all that was needed in this lovely house. Hide

Very well equipped cottage. The heating was so good that we didn't need to use the wood burner. There were only two of us staying so we found we had plenty of space and didn't need to use the upstairs. I think having an extra couple would have been fine - more than that might have been a bit crowded
