Sleeping eight guests in four bedrooms, this beautiful holiday home is set in the Georgian market town of Holt. It’s the perfect retreat for families or friends who enjoy historic towns and villages with the coast and countryside on the doorstep. There’s ample space for everyone to enjoy this grand house with spacious interiors and beautiful furnishings. Holt is an 18th-century town which rose from the ashes after it was burnt to the ground in 1708. Today, you can enjoy its fascinating array of shops, cafes and galleries with some gracing the main street and others an adventure through a warren of side lanes and yards where you’ll be inspired to find original gifts and beautiful treasures to take home.

 

Step into the pillared porch and step into the grand hallway of this grand retreat where you’ll find stylish interiors and superb furnishings, all thoughtfully designed for a very comfortable stay. Rustle up tasty meals in the spacious and well-equipped kitchen and dining area. Whisk sandy clothes back to new with the utility room washing machine and tumble dryer. Catch up on the day in the living room with a Smart TV, large sofas and armchairs, and a toasty wood burner; or curl up for quieter chats or storytime in the cosy snug with a Smart TV. There’s a handy WC and boot room off the hallway too. When night falls, head upstairs where you’ll find four spacious bedrooms: two king-size, one double, and one twin, including two en-suite shower rooms and a family bathroom. Throw open the French doors in the kitchen to the walled landscaped garden where you can enjoy morning coffees or unwind or enjoy BBQ feasts together on warmer days. There’s a rotating garden pod so you’ll never miss the sun! Off-road parking is available for four cars and you’ll find a pub and shops within walking distance, with the beach just 5 miles away.

Hop on The Poppy Line steam train in Holt for adventures to Weybourne (3 miles) and seaside days in Sheringham (6.5 miles). Enjoy theatre on the pier in Cromer (10 miles), or be inspired by National Trust homes and gardens at Felbrigg (10 miles), Blickling Hall (12.5 miles) and Sheringham Park (5.5 miles). Pack a picnic and take a jaunt through the scenic Holt Country Park (3 miles), a wildlife haven with more than a hundred acres of unspoilt woodland featuring oak, pine, and silver birch trees. Or enjoy the variety of nature reserves near your doorstep in the North Norfolk Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – you can take a marine wildlife safari from Blakeney Point (3.5 miles) and look out for smiling seals.

The house and location was just perfect for family celebrating a few days away for NYE, plenty of room and lovely touches including a welcome hamper, the hot tub was the perfect end of each day after walking. We will be back, thank you.

Location was only a problem when we tried to book a taxi to go to the Meadowsweet restaurant. Luckily weather was good and we walked. Plenty of space for us all

We had a lovely stay at Minerva House. The house was incredibly well equipped and very well set up for a three generation family visit plus a dog. Its in a great location with a 20min walk into Holt which has lots of lovely shops, pubs and cafes. Not a cottage, but a large Georgian house. Lots of useful space downstairs, including a snug and downstairs loo, plus the utility room. Although situated on a large and expanding housing estate, the house is not far from the local town and all the surrounding popular places, such as Blakeney, Salthouse, Cley, Sherringhsm etc. The property is very wRead moreell equipped, with a lovely Kitchen Aid coffee maker, loads of crockery and cutlery, making life simple when preparing food. A fabulous house in a great location for exploring the beautiful North Norfolk coast. Very clean, comfortable and relaxing. Lovely house, perfectly situated for walks and within easy reach of the coast too. Very well equipped kitchen with everything you could need. Please note there are only two showers, the bathroom shower is a hand held shower and there is no shower curtain or screen. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or upstairs.

Beautiful property on a new estate, the kitchen was equipped with everything you could ask for, the whole house was spotless and comfortable, lovely enclosed quiet garden. This is a beautiful house a short walk from Holt which has lots of amenities. Very well equipped kitchen. We loved the hot tub and garden pod. Would definitely recommend.
