A newly renovated for 2020 barn conversation, one of three, set in the heart of the Northumberland countryside which is an idyllic spot for a family getaway.

Tucked away in the Northumberland countryside, this stunning property is one of a complex of barn conversions. Exquisitely renovated to a high standard and sleeping up to eight people across four bedrooms, it is the ideal location for you and your friends or family to make memories together. Located in the north of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), you can immerse yourselves in the tranquillity, soak up the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside and explore the history of the local area. The Northern Pennines AONB boasts heather-clad moors, woods, rivers, upland hay meadows and a wealth of wildlife, such as black grouse, red squirrels and otters. With plenty of charming market towns nearby, you’ll have a range of independent shops and eateries to choose from. Of an evening, return home to soak in your hot tub whilst enjoying a spot of stargazing.

Beautifully refurbished throughout with careful attention to detail, this property is bursting with traditional touches that are in keeping with the building’s heritage. Add to this some stylish contemporary decor and you have a wonderful holiday home. At the centre of the house is a delightful open-plan living area where an original stable wall separates the lounge/diner from the well-equipped kitchen. The lounge has lots of comfy seating and a wood burner, making it cosy on a cold evening. Ascending the oak staircase, you will arrive at the four bedrooms: three king-size and one double, all with en-suite shower rooms and Smart TVs. The rooms are well-appointed with some original features incorporated into the design.

Outside, there is a wonderful enclosed garden with a lawn and countryside views. There is also a private hot tub – perfect for a relaxing soak at the end of a busy day.

The location of the cottage was splendid with far-reaching views over the beautiful landscape. We have seen also the stars and part of the Milky Way! The cottage itself, Blinkers Stable, was excellent: plenty of space, an extensive kitchen with all the mod cons and all bedrooms are ensuite. Also many public footpaths to wander around. The en suite for every room is very much appreciated, while also having a down stairs loo too. The underfloor heating is lovely (we were there in a cold wet July!).
