Nestled down a quiet lane just 5 miles from the stunning Purbeck Heritage Coast, this superb property is the ideal place for a BIG family reunion or special occasion with friends. Charming original features across the entire house make this a relaxing hideaway to return to after a long day out, whether it’s walking the sand dune and woodland trails at Studland Nature Reserve (7.5 miles) or taking the kids for thrills at Dorset Adventure Park (2.5 miles). Get home, take off your shoes and head to the lounge to settle down

Bursting with character, with low doorways, changes of level and areas of restricted head height, this is a property you won’t forget in a hurry. Walk up the sets of cobbled steps along the path up to the front door of the property and you’re greeted by a beautiful flagstone hallway that immediately transports you back in time. Cook up a storm for your fellow guests in the quaint galley-style kitchen among peaceful greys and light wood tones before sitting down to eat in the dining room. Rustic woods and a beautiful ornamental fireplace in here make it a pleasure to spend long evenings chatting around the table and the window seat is the perfect spot for reading a book and daydreaming out the window towards wonderful views. On warmer evenings, head out to the wrap-around garden where there are two terraces to dine alfresco; sizzle up a BBQ out here while the children play with the outdoor games. A traditional ha-ha, a sunken wall, runs along the bottom of the garden so it doesn’t spoil your spectacular countryside views. At bedtime, retire to the tranquil bedrooms; choose from the double bedroom down steps from the kitchen where you can have direct access to the garden for your morning coffee, or hide away in the converted outbuildings where a characterful bunk room features the original stone walls and views over to Corfe Castle. Wherever you lay your head, you’ll feel refreshed the next day, ready to take on a full morning of activities.

We have stayed next door for the last few years and loved the space inside and out of this cottage. It is well equipped with good quality equipment and spotlessly clean The view is second to non and the large garden was perfect for the dogs. We will be back and can not wait

Characterful cottage with stunning views in a lovely village with a pub. Very comfortable indeed but compact kitchen meant only one person can cook. Four toilets though! Owner and housekeeper were helpful. We appreciated being able to charge up the car.

The cottage is situated perfectly to explore The Purbecks whether by car or on foot or bicycle with plenty of walking and cycling routes available from the cottage. The views from the garden were magnificent and the cottage had everything you need for your stay.

Wonderful location in a part of the world we are completely in love with after 40 years of visits. Fabulous views over Corfe Castle and surrounding countryside. The house is a tardis as it is so much bigger than it appears from the outside. Conveniently situated for Worth Matravers and the Square and Compass pub , Swanage, Kimmeridge, Durdle Door, Read moreWarbarrow Bay etc. Spacious gardens and nice terraces. The kitchen is small but we coped ....all I'm all quite satisfactory. Hide

The location and the cottage are beautiful and we had a great time however in April two of the bedrooms had no heating and were freezing. The garden is not entirely enclosed and with sheep in the next field we couldnt leave our dogs unsupervised. Other than that it is a great place to stay
