Property code: 78042

Nestled down a quiet lane just 5 miles from the stunning Purbeck Heritage Coast, this superb property is the ideal place for a BIG family reunion or special occasion with friends. Charming original features across the entire house make this a relaxing hideaway to return to after a long day out, whether it’s walking the sand dune and woodland trails at Studland Nature Reserve (7.5 miles) or taking the kids for thrills at Dorset Adventure Park (2.5 miles). Get home, take off your shoes and head to the lounge to settle down

Bursting with character, with low doorways, changes of level and areas of restricted head height, this is a property you won’t forget in a hurry. Walk up the sets of cobbled steps along the path up to the front door of the property and you’re greeted by a beautiful flagstone hallway that immediately transports you back in time. Cook up a storm for your fellow guests in the quaint galley-style kitchen among peaceful greys and light wood tones before sitting down to eat in the dining room. Rustic woods and a beautiful ornamental fireplace in here make it a pleasure to spend long evenings chatting around the table and the window seat is the perfect spot for reading a book and daydreaming out the window towards wonderful views. On warmer evenings, head out to the wrap-around garden where there are two terraces to dine alfresco; sizzle up a BBQ out here while the children play with the outdoor games. A traditional ha-ha, a sunken wall, runs along the bottom of the garden so it doesn’t spoil your spectacular countryside views. At bedtime, retire to the tranquil bedrooms; choose from the double bedroom down steps from the kitchen where you can have direct access to the garden for your morning coffee, or hide away in the converted outbuildings where a characterful bunk room features the original stone walls and views over to Corfe Castle. Wherever you lay your head, you’ll feel refreshed the next day, ready to take on a full morning of activities.

Brilliant, comfortable cottage, quirky too. Gallery kitchen is small in comparison with the other rooms, but fully stocked. The views were incredible, two minute walk to a great pub.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Purbeck View and have already booked for next year! The cottage provided everything we needed with stunning views and the opportunity to sit at both the front and back patios. Plenty of room for parking. Very convenient for the Scott Arms, bus stops and walks.

This property is 5 stars; the pictures are accurate, but can't do the location justice. Lots of room. Beds good to very good. The Scott Arms is good for Friday or Saturday night Pop-up dinner (Jamaican menu) but otherwise, just drinks for the view. Restaurants in Corfe Castle village are good to very good. The position of the house is amazing with fabulous views towards Corfe. The garden is beautiful with plenty of seating. The house needs some updating especially the showers as the water output is poor and if you intend to cook, the fridge and freezer are small for the size of the accommodation. However, we enjoyed our visit and Kingston is in a gooRead mored location for visiting different localities. Hide

In terms of location this property is perfect. Not too far from the touristy bits. The garden and views were stunning. The house itself could do with a spruce up.
