Situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Ashbrittle, this fabulous five-bedroom property is perfect for families and groups of friends seeking a luxurious base from which to explore both Devon and Somerset. With wood burners in both the lounge and dining room, enjoy cosy nights in relaxing in front of the TV or lingering over delicious dinners. There’s plenty of outdoor space for games on the lawn and al fresco meals. The nearby town of Wellington (9.5 miles) has a host of shops and eateries. Walk up to the Wellington Monument to enjoy spectacular views across the county. Book a private tour of a cider farm (11 miles) to discover how the popular drink is brewed and maybe even sample a few.

Step through the front door and into the lobby/utility room where there is plenty of space to store walking boots and hang up outdoor clothing. Unpack provisions in the stylish and spacious kitchen, fully equipped to cater for large parties. Light the wood burner in the dining room and gather together to share meals around the large wooden table. Sink into one of the sumptuous sofas in the light and airy living room and watch a family film on the TV as the flames flicker in the wood burner. For a truly memorable experience, book seats on one of the last remaining horse-drawn barges in the UK and enjoy a timeless trip along the water. Explore the vibrant city of Exeter (28 miles) and stop in one of the delicatessens to pick up some local produce for a picnic at Cathedral Green. Lovely Xmas at the farmhouse which suited all our age range from 14 to 85. All fantastic From The hamper of lovely homemade cakes and goodies to the hot tub, good sized rooms with such comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. Our stay at Burrow Farm was superb. The house is huge with beautiful ensuite bathrooms in each bedroom. The kitchen, dining room and lounge are large and well thought out. Every part of the house has fixtures and fittings of the highest quality. Many a luxury hotel could take a leaf out of Annie and Brian's book. Burrow Farmhouse was fantastic, with great facilities for our grandchildren. The location was lovely albeit along single track roads. It was very tranquil with beautiful scenery. The house was very well equipped and the owners couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

We would recommend Burrow Farmhouse for anyone looking for somewhere that can cater for a large family or group. The facilities were excellent and there was something for all ages. The location is good for visiting local attractions although some of the lanes are narrow. Had a brilliant 3 night stay, lovely and peaceful. We were very lucky with perfect weather so didnt use the very well equipped games barn much. The hot tub and garden were well used though. This house is beautiful and perfectly kitted out. It feels like a proper home. Every room having an en-suite is a dream and all rooms are spacious. We all loved staying here and would definitely stay again. Ive already recommended it to a friend. Great value for money. The owners are always happy to help but dont intrude at all.
