Perfect for entertaining, this imposing stone property sits by the shores of Loch Tummel and commands beautiful views across the Perthshire countryside. Able to host up to 26 guests, you can plan a rural retreat where you never need leave the house: as well as plenty of space to relax and socialise in, there is also a games room in its own heated outbuilding, an all-weather tennis court, and your own private bar area inside the library. For meals out, there’s an inn just a mile up the road, and the Queen’s View Visitor Centre (4 miles) is a great starting point for a day exploring Tay Forest Park.
Beautifully furnished in bold prints and colours, every room in the house has been thoughtfully and elegantly decorated. If you’re returning from adventures outdoors, there’s a handy cloakroom/drying room for coats and boots, as well as a utility room for anything needing to be refreshed. Home-cooked dinners won’t be a problem, as there are two of all major appliances: electric ovens, fridges, freezers, and dishwashers. Serve in the formal dining room, where you can tuck into your food while flames roar in the open fire. Afterwards, extend the evening and retire to the library with its stylish and well-stocked wooden bar, while guests young and old looking to burn off extra energy can head to the games room to compete at table tennis, darts, and pool. Settle down for the night with a hot bath or shower. Of the ten luxurious bedrooms – all of which are spread across the ground and first floors – many come with their own en-suite, and some with a sitting area. After a deep sleep, wake up reenergised and take your breakfast onto the patio, to dine alfresco while overlooking the loch. The house has its own jetty, so you can pack a picnic and hire the boat to experience and admire the scenery from on the water.
