A dreamy farmhouse near Methlick village, offers excellent accommodation for up to 14 guest and two dogs are invited to spend an unforgettable holiday immersed in comfort and quality. Light-filled and spacious yet cosy and warm, it exudes an escape-from-it-all vibe that will be all too difficult to ignore. Shirk responsibilities, clear your agendas and spend your time refocusing on the important things in life surrounded by the ones you love most. Encompassed by Aberdeenshire’s luscious folds, you will be spoilt for choice with things to see and do before returning to this fantastic countryside cottage. The only question is, sofa or hot tub?

Turning your gaze away from the wonderful views, heading inside this charming property will provide all the more to capture your attention. The first port of call, the ground floor is home to the cottage’s living areas and will be a popular place to wine, dine, entertain and relax. Particularly homely, the kitchen-come-dining room exudes traditional farmhouse vibes inflected with a contemporary edge. Featuring wooden floors and feature walls, the room is softened with delicate pastel tones and tasteful homely details. Gather in here throughout the day to tuck into hearty meals or simply share tales over steaming cups of tea and enjoy the ambiance. For more choice, a second dining room is also located on the ground floor, as is a lounge with sink-in-able sofas, a woodburner and a TV. While relaxing inside will be a tempting proposition on lazy mornings and rainy days, when the sunshine is shining there is only one place to be: the garden (private but not enclosed). Walk down to the nearby pool house and enjoy a dip in the heated pool. The garden’s piece de resistance, a bubbling hot tub overlooks the countryside; what better way to start and end the day?

We had a very enjoyable holiday in Newton House which had excellent facilities for our large family gathering. The property is situated in a very quiet and beautiful location convenient for the beach and also inland walks around the NT properties which are situated very close by. We will be coming back.

Place was beautiful and location Was surprised that the cleanliness wasn't to a high standard for the price, there was sticky handles and we had to clean some surfaces.
