This striking, spacious holiday home stands proudly in 1,500 acres of woodland, paddock and lawn, perfect for large groups to enjoy the serenity of the setting.

Close to the Moray coastline and 4.5 miles from the shops and amenities of Forres town centre, this classic country house provides wonderful accommodation for a multi-generational group. With a total of 12 bedrooms sleeping up to 23 guests, there’s plenty of room for family and friends to spend a comfortable holiday here, whether it’s for a relaxing reunion or a big celebration. There is a spacious ‘ceilidh room’, perfect as a play area or dance floor, as well as the 1500-acre estate to explore, which includes an arboretum, small lochs, and woodland trails.

Charmingly decorated with an eye to traditional decor and antique furnishings, the house retains a homely, lived-in feel. Landscapes and portraits hang on the walls, which are painted in warm colours, and there are three open fires to keep you warm and cosy of an evening. Storage isn’t a problem here: there is a larder and three fridges for your food supplies, while the laundry room, utility, and the rear hall with its area for coats and boots can be used for storing other items. Climb the front steps into the house, and immediately relax. Enjoy dinner together in the dining hall, seated at the long table. When your meal is finished, and you’ve discussed plans for tomorrow’s adventures, head to a soft seat in front of the fire in the drawing room, or play a few games of billiards in the basement room. Younger guests will love the quiet snug, where they can escape to watch TV. Get a peaceful night’s sleep in one of the traditional bedrooms and wake up to pretty countryside views. The kitchen/diner is good for relaxed breakfasts and snacks, before spending time walking or cycling around the estate’s trails, taking part in field sports or relaxing on the lawns in the sunshine. In the afternoon, light the BBQ for fun al fresco dining.
