Really lovely lodge in beautiful setting, BUT. Very well appointed and enjoyed by all. However there were issues with the plumbing and heating control throughout, which spoiled what would otherwise have been one of the best places we had ever stayed in, both in location and overall sumptuous feel. So the bad bits? There was no way to regulate theRead more hot water in most of the showers and in particular the shower room in the super king size bedroom, the water was scalding hot in the showerand no matter what we did or how long we waited for the change to occur in our chosen water adjudgment, it remained scalding, the pedestal was also leaking in this bathroom and we had to wrap a shower matt permenantly around it so save getting cold wet feet. The hot tub cover was very heavy to lift as the gas strut mechanism needs to be changed, it took two men to lift it (the girls just could not manage it) also the controls on the hot tub need replacing as there where impossible to read clearly. As I say on the whole it was superb, but these points need addressing. Hide

A very nice property with some maintenance issues the most important of which would be the heating. Well equipped kitchen but towels have seen better days. Good hot tub and nice surroundings.

A well equipped lodge in a quiet location. There were plenty of sights to see nearby in the car and a great pub within walking distance. Lovely for a short break.

Unfortunately the house could do with quite alot of maintenance. Front door hard very to open, kettle so dirty had to purchase our own, only had cold water in one shower, bathroom locks didn't work, duvet very badly stained and the floor needed a good wash. Tennis court was good but racquets need an overhaul or replacing. Had to request tennis ballRead mores which the owner very quickly supplied. The house was in a lovely location and parking no problem. Pity the overall lack of maintenance spoilt it. Hide

Be aware This house is not the same as the pictures advertised. The hot tub is so damaged and mouldy, we were not able to use as chlorine too high. The cottage is a lovely spacious size so you dont feel on top of each other and in a lovely setting. The only bad points out if a lovely break here is that the hot tub is a little dated now and not many jets worked and a couple of the showers werent usable due to one had poor power and the other one was stuck on a low temprature. We stayed in the kingfisher lodge & had a great stay. The lodge was well equipped with everything that was needed and cleanliness was perfect. Nice quiet location and very relaxing. We enjoyed the outdoor areas as well as the hot tub but also found the games in the lodge to be fun and handy on a rainy day. Thank you very much for a lovely break.
