Striking barn conversion set within easy reach of many pretty towns and villages. Boasting a wood burner, unique architecture and private garden it’s the ideal spot for a fun filled holiday.

With socialising at the core of the design, the open-plan living space of this elegant barn conversion allows the whole party to relax together, yet with enough space to spread out should a little solitude be required. Sleeping eight in four bedrooms, this property is one of two that together accommodate ten guests, making this complex perfect for a multigenerational family reunion. Young and old alike will love preparing a meal in the outdoor kitchen, so whether spending an afternoon pottering around Poole or tackling the high ropes at Go Ape, return to relax altogether amongst the stunning architectural features to enjoy a home-cooked meal.

Originally built in 1680, the heart of this contemporary barn conversion is the stunning open-plan living space. The full-height, vaulted ceiling and bifold doors work together to flood the room with light, whilst the white walls, exposed brick, and wooden and black steel beams create a modish, monochrome interior. Cleverly divided, this is the perfect space for everyone to unwind at their own pace. Enjoy preparing food in the stylish kitchen with the breakfast bar perfect for chatting or grabbing a quick breakfast. Gather everyone for a family meal at the large dining table, light and sunny next to the full-height windows. As the evening draws in, light the wood burner – nestled in a striking circular fireplace – to create a cosy, warming ambience and gather together to relax with a film. If some solitude is needed, slip away to the snug on the mezzanine level and settle on the sofa with a good book. With each bedroom boasting an en-suite, consideration has been given to the privacy of the guests, and with the super-king-size bedroom able to be made into a twin room, it is easily adaptable for many different party make-ups. Outside, find an enclosed garden and patio with doors to the living area, making it the perfect spot for enjoying al fresco. Enjoy cooking in the great outdoor kitchen or simply settle in the sunshine on the artificial lawn. Off-road parking is available for up to three cars.

We had a lovely week at dairy cottages. The house was generally clean and in good condition. The location in many ways is great as its central for visiting lots of places. The only downside was the main road outside with no pathway so to walk our dog we had to get in the car first. We would definitely visit again despite this
