Gather up your family and let dreams of hazy seaside picnics, bucolic country rambles and family evenings gathered around plates of hot food and bottles of wine come alive. Sleeping up to ten people and three dogs, this five-bedroom quixotic cottage just outside of Wiveton on the Norfolk coast boasts multi-generational appeal with its homely, traditional feel and excellent location. Dive headfirst into exploration and luxuriation and look forward to days you'll cherish forever.

In the heart of working farmland, this property is perfect for large groups of walkers and wildlife lovers looking for somewhere cosy to return to at the end of the day. Surrounded by countryside, the superb views will appeal to all and provide a dynamic backdrop throughout the day – from the pale blues of morning to the burnt orange and terracotta tones of sunset. Heading inside the cottage, you will immediately be met by the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. A quirky melange, book-lined walls, exposed raw features, antiqued furnishings, playful splashes of colour and comfortable seating all combine to create a space you will love spending time in throughout the day. As granny browses the bookshelves and the children scatter to bag their favourite bedroom, you can check out the kitchen and fill up the fridge with food and fizz. In summer, this space can be opened up via the oak doors that lead out onto the large enclosed courtyard; enjoy the feeling of a cool breeze and fresh air as you plate up the dining table ready for meals at home. With so much space to enjoy outside, the more energetic youngsters in your party can work up an appetite playing on the lawn and climbing frame. A working farm, outdoor games will be accompanied by the gentle bleeting of sheep; just remember to put your pups on their leads if the sheep are close by! When energies have been exhausted and tummies filled, gather in front of the warming glow of the lounge's woodburner. For some good old-fashioned family entertainment before bed enjoy a card or boardgame, or switch on the TV for an action-packed movie night.

The Boxes is a fantastic venue for a family holiday - it gave us an excellent space for three couples and children. Facilities are all there - and the arrangement of the rooms is well thought out. The lawn / patio was great space to relax and for children to play safely. Close to Blakeney and Cley it gave excellent access to the North Norfolk coastRead more. We really appreciated it. Hide

This is a great place to literally get away from everything. The bridlepath leading to it is worth the bumpy ride! Well equipped, safe for children and dogs. Nice walk through the fields to a great coffee and lunch shop and other amenities. Visit the Shell Museum too!
