Retreat to this traditional stone cottage in the scenic village of Worth Matravers, in Devon. Set on the Isle of Purbeck Peninsula, the attractive, four-bedroom holiday home is surrounded by picturesque countryside and within 1 mile of the coast. Up to eight guests are welcome to stay at the beautifully finished property, which features vaulted ceilings and exposed timbers, and is set within exquisite grounds of an acre.

Bring your party into this property, which could be ideal for a group of friends or two families holidaying together. Head into the lounge, with its wooden floor, to stoke up the wood burner and settle down to your favourite TV programme. Find the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner is equally inviting and well equipped with everything you need to cook up feasts together. Gather round the table in here too at mealtimes or for a hand of cards before bed. A utility room with WC, basin, freezer, additional fridge and washing machine, is also downstairs. Discover a shower room and one of your bedrooms on the ground floor too: this striking room makes a perfect sanctuary, with its vaulted ceiling, seating area, TV and wood burner. Climb the cottage-style stairs to the first floor and your remaining three bedrooms, one of which also has a relaxation area, with sofa and TV and the family bathroom.  You will also find an additional bathroom with separate shower and freestanding bath with WE and basin.  Spill out into your beautiful garden on warm spring, summer and autumn days. Light the BBQ and play with the children on the lawn. Retreat to the walled courtyard for a few quiet minutes alone with your holiday book. Find four or five cars can park at the property.

Oh! the quiet! Well, not inside for the first 4 nights due to excited children, other halves and young grandchildren. So much excitement and fun for all. The rest of the week just my wife and I. Idyllic but in a pleasant "chance to wind down" way. We all loved this cottage and talked of how enjoyable it could be during the different seasons. It is our sixth or seventh year and is a real find for a family group holiday - the large kitchen table means we can share memorable meals and on rainy days do craft activities

This is a very comfortable and well equipped cottage in a great position. Loads to do within 10 miles or so. EV charging point a real asset. Would recommend. Only note of caution - the bedrooms upstairs are accessed by very steep staircase with low ceiling height. Beware!

This lovely cottage is in an idyllic location at the centre of a number of beautiful walks and yet is in easy reach of Swanage and Corfe Castle. The garden provided ample playing space for energetic youngsters and the house itself was very comfortable.

Best holiday home we've stayed in! Loved the annexe, allowing the grandparents to have their own space. Very comfortable and well equipped. Great outdoor space for the kids to run around in. Beautiful location.

Worth Matravers is a lovely village to visit with a pub, cafe and lovely coastal walks. This is brilliantly located and well-presented cottage between the pub and the duck pond. Had a very comfortable stay.
