Steeped in history, the house dates back to 1547 when it was built by the monks of Furness Abbey. Step down from here into the dining room, featuring a rustic fireplace and grand table made for hosting lively soirees. Also on the ground floor is a large kitchen, which boasts underfloor heating and plenty of worktop space for preparing meals on. Upstairs promises beautiful rooms too, starting with the four double bedrooms; three have pretty en-suites but there is one even more Insta-worthy than the rest. To the right of the regal bed, is a free-standing copper bath beckoning you to indulge in a long soothing soak beneath the bubbles. There is also a twin room and two bedrooms with bunk beds for the children or the child in you. At the front of the house is a vast lawn lined by a stone wall and plants, a pretty place for a picnic or BBQ with a view of the Coniston mountain range peeking through the trees. Guests are welcome to use the private lakeshore of the Tent Lodge Estate which can be accessed by a pedestrian path.
