Property code: 48814

Stylishly restored in 2017, this beautiful detached barn conversion is situated in the rural village of Melbury Abbas amid glorious Dorset countryside. It boasts lovely gardens and countryside views.

Settle straight into countryside living in this four-bedroom converted barn that belongs on the pages of a glossy magazine. With much of the accommodation on one floor, it’s ideal for multi-generational groups, and you’ll love the stylish touches from designer brand Joules. There’s plenty to occupy you at home, including a hot tub and games room, and a network of countryside walks right from the door.

The house has a well-designed open-plan living space that incorporates a kitchen, dining room and lounge, all flooded with natural light from the dual-aspect French windows. Preparing a feast for the whole gang is a dream in the well-equipped kitchen, with plenty of room for helpers at the island stools and music on hand from the radio. Old and young can take a break on the comfortable leather sofas with a TV and a cosy wood burner. As the delicious aromas of dinner waft across, you can enlist them to lay the spacious dining table for your family meal. Take after-dinner drinks or coffees from the Lavazza machine out to the enclosed garden and light the wood-fired hot tub for a spot of pampering under the stars. The kids will love exploring the games barn with table tennis and table football (shared with other properties in the vicinity) and discovering the extra gardens for a kickabout or a lively game of hide and seek. The three downstairs bedrooms provide peaceful retreats, each with a TV and a stylish blend of contemporary and farmhouse decor. Upstairs a fourth king-size bedroom boasts far-reaching views over the fields, plus a TV and useful washbasin. The large utility room will be a godsend for wet, muddy gear and the washing machine means you can let the kids go wild in the great outdoors without a care.
