With four bedrooms sleeping 10 guests, the property itself is a spacious detached house, set in rolling grounds with several areas to sit and enjoy a BBQ, a “friendly” game of football or rounders, or just to lounge in the outdoor bar. Inside, a cosy porch welcomes you and then it's on to the living area, a large and light-filled space with two distinct spaces. First, the games room is the heart of the house — hang out around the jukebox or challenge your relatives to a duel at the pool table. Then the room connects to a spacious, comfortable sitting room, complete with wood burner and TV for extra cosy evenings. The kitchen is an elegant room designed for proper sit-down meals and overlooks the swimming pool through a pair of French doors. Take a leisurely swim in the morning or watch the kids splashing around. When you've finally exhausted the day, head upstairs to your chosen bedroom. A king-size master offers a spacious, stylish retreat from the fun and games of the house, with its own en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath. It's situated just a mile from the historic centre of the lively market town of Chesterfield, where you can enjoy independent shops, restaurants, galleries, or a visit to the famous crooked spire. Once you've had your fill of town life, head west 7 miles and you'll arrive at the edge of the Peak District National Park, where you can adventure in whatever way suits your team — cycling, riding, boating, climbing, it's all here. Or, head further into the park to Bakewell, home of the famous Bakewell tart and also to several historic buildings. Roam about the grounds of Chatsworth House and pretend you're landed gentry, or explore the medieval manor of Haddon Hall, with its stunning Elizabethan gardens and rugged surrounding views of the peaks.

Fantastic place! Everything you need for a big family holiday. Kitchen well equipped if you want to self cater for a large family. They have all the entertainment systems you need. Great location. We had a wonderful holiday. Great place to stay for a family whatever the weather. Facilities for children were exceptional (lots of toys for very young children). Very convenient for Chesterfield and lots of places to visit if you wanted to. Big age range in our group from 11 to 78 but we all had a great time. Just adorable. Large spacious house. Well maintained with a gorgeous indoor heated pool which the kids absolutely loved. Gated property which gave a real sense of security and safety especially with toddlers running around. The bar and karaoke was enjoyed by all as were the toasty logs fires.

We had a wonderful family get together for a birthday celebration. The pool was superb and the grandkids couldn't stay out of it. Loads of space to relax and extra cosy with the log burners with plenty of logs supplied. Walking distance to chesterfield too.

The owners were very friendly and the security was excellent at this venue. The space was fabulous for all of our family and the pool was amazing. Also the warmth of the place was excellent, we did not have to light the fires. It was decorated for the Christmas / New Year period.

Cottage was very well equiped. There were plenty of bathrooms and showers both upstairs and down. The heating system kept the whole house warm. The swimming pool was excellent and had it's own shower. We used the bar, snooker table and stage in the adjacent building and were kept warm by using the log burner which had an ample supply of logs. We stayed here last minute as a previous accommodation had been cancelled. What a place!!! Very well equipped with amazing facilities. Plenty of room. The pool and the bar were both a massive hit. Although the owners live on site they stay out of the way and you dont feel like youre being watched over. They were welcoming and friendly. Good sized accommodation, little dated could do with an upgrade to modern decor, pool wasnt warm enough for us to use. Great to have Complimentary logs to use with the log burner.
