Stepping into this charming holiday cottage, you will find the spacious and inviting lounge. With an open fire, TV, DVD, a piano and plenty of comfortable seating, this cosy and restful space is perfect for sitting back in the evening with a good book, catching up with a TV show or chatting about the day’s events. The open-plan kitchen/diner is linked by a large archway and has several original features including wooden flooring and an exposed ceiling beam. The stylishly designed kitchen is fully equipped with a range of appliances, and the dining area has ample room for everyone, making this a fantastic space for you to all gather, chat, cook and share a favourite family meal. When it’s time for bed, there are four cosy bedrooms to choose from: two double rooms, a twin room, and a super-king-size zip-and-link which can be made up as a twin room on prior request. A shower room can be found on the ground floor, with a family bathroom on the first floor. Please note that the first floor is accessed via a flight of quite steep cottage-style stairs. Heading outside, the enclosed garden is a lovely space to relax in, with an extensive lawn for children to run and play on, and a patio area with outdoor furniture where you can unwind with a BBQ or drinks in the evening. This is the perfect base for exploring Herefordshire’s Golden Valley, with the Brecon Beacons National Park to the west (19 miles) and the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the east (14 miles). Walkers and cyclists can follow numerous footpaths and trails with the route of Offa’s Dyke nearby. The thriving market town of Hay-on-Wye (13.5 miles) is known for its arts scene, famous literary festival and its numerous second-hand bookshops and antique shops. We had a wonderful stay! The gardens are simply beautiful and the house was very comfortable. The nearby pub was a delightful bonus! Would thoroughly recommend.

Bare Farm Cottage is lovely and had everything we needed for our stay. The location is beautiful and great for wildlife lovers too. The stairs are not for the fainthearted though, but overall a lovely place to have a holiday.

We enjoyed a lovely family weekend all together. The house had everything we needed in a quiet rural location and was warm and cosy . the dogs had great run in the garden . Pub within walking distance was an added bonus

We had a lovely weekend at Bare Farm Cottage. The location was beautiful- gorgeous countryside in every direction. The kitchen/diner & lounge were comfy & well equipped. The front bedrooms were lovely, the back ones were smaller but comfortable. All with wonderful views. Lovely cottage. Clean, comfy and kitchen well stocked. Owners very helpful and very quick to respond to any questios or problems. Lots of dog walks from the door and good road cycling in the lanes. Walkable pub has good ale and pub food, recommend it. Had elderly parents with walking issues with us who managed the steep narrow stairs but probably wRead moreouldn't come back to the cottage with them because of that. Lovely stay, we will 100% be returning. We wanted somewhere with lots of walks but with a pub close so this was perfect. The pub is only a couple of minutes walk and the landlord was very welcoming. The house was absolutely spotless and looked better in person than on the pictures which is very rare! Alice was very helpful and accommodating and notRead morehing was too much trouble. Beautiful cottage for getting family altogether, was so nice not to have a TV in the bedrooms as it gives you more time to play board games and cards. Beautiful walks down to Bulmer orchards and the river. The local pub did a lovely Sunday lunch

The cottage is located between fields with nothing more than horses as direct neighbors. Our kids loved to have them around. Inside you'll find a cosy atmosphere and enough space for two families. Garden wraps around and is mostly dog secure - one side has thick hedge rather than fence so always keep an eye on your dog, you always do anyway!) but our Labrador didn't notice and it wasn't a problem. We had a thoroughly lovely long weekend at the cottage. Its clean comfortable and spacious with a beautiful garden that, thanks to some lovely weather, we were able to make good use of. Lovely comfy garden furniture too. The views are fabulous and the peace and quiet so relaxing. The only thing that will probably stop us returning are the stairs. Beautiful cottage in a wonderful, remote spot. Excellent walking and easy drive to Hay and Hereford. Cant thank the owners enough for being so accommodating. We were a party of 4 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs, plenty of space for us all and lots of lovely outdoor space for the dogs.

The cottage is very welcoming and comfortable.the weather was glorious when we were there so we didnt sit inside much, but I imagine it would be really cosy in the winter. The tv system is good too, and there are a few dvds there if you forget to bring your own. Bare Farm Cottage was absolutely great for our get-together. It was very clean, had a beautiful garden to enjoy, large kitchen/diner for socialising, comfortable beds and lots of quiet country footpaths on the doorstep. Dogs loved it too! The stairs are steep and narrow so extreme care needed here.

We have just had a wonderful few days at Bare Farm Cottage. Its set in beautiful countryside and is very peaceful. The cottage is well equipped with plenty of room for everyone. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed the outdoor space too.
