The heart of the house is the large open-plan living area, home to the kitchen, dining room and one of the lounge areas, with ceiling-to-floor bi-fold doors opening onto the vast garden. Outside make use of the heated swimming pool complete with hard cover and wonderful pool house (open April - September) with outdoor dining area and poolside pizza oven. The tall vaulted ceilings and large windows allow light to stream into the room, making it appear bigger and more impressive than it already is! For a day out a little further afield, the market town of Taunton lies only 7 miles away and offers a host of Somerset attractions. The local Museum of Somerset maps out 400 million years of local history, perfect for primary school aged kids to glean some fascinating knowledge, and the Hestercombe House and Gardens (8.5 miles) is a tranquil afternoon out. For more outdoorsy folks, the property is perfectly located to explore the Blackdown Hills AONB (7 miles), the Quantock Hills AONB (6.5 miles) and even the Exmoor National Park (17 miles), all of which boast remarkable walking routes.

Beautiful house Perfect for our family celebration Well thought out to keep everyone having fun from small children to over 70's. Loved hot tub, football, pool table, gym and also lots of comfortable seating areas. Well equipped and very helpful team at the end of a phone if needed. Very special time.

PERFECT !-14 of us aged from 1 to 68 have just had an amazing week in Oakfield. The house and grounds are beautiful and the pool is the best we have ever been in , lovely and warm , safe steps into it and a really good size . We booked this property for a 30tj birthday celebration weekend with family. The house was perfect! So much room for hosting, all available equipment and lots of great things for the kids. We loved the hot tub and went in everyday. Sad to leave! Thank you for a great stay, we will be back!

Lovely house with good kitchen and equipment. The heating needs looking at as it was very cold especially the master bedroom, we were given 3 electric heaters to help maintain a near comfortable temperature. We had no Internet on arrival we contacted groundsman to be told it has been a problem for a while! This place is truly amazing. So much for children to do, we barely saw them! Loved their bedrooms. Lovely walks, starting from the garden gate.
