Situated just half a mile from the shore of the beautiful Loch of Lintrathen, this delightful property is surrounded by wonderful countryside with plenty of attractions, with chances to spot deer, feed the ducks or meet some of the resident chickens. The spectacular Reekie Linn Waterfall is a pleasant walk away (1.5 miles) or you could head to Glamis Castle (12 miles) – the childhood home of the Queen Mother and the setting for Shakespeare's Macbeth.
There are also several golf courses within easy reach including Kirriemuir (9 miles), Glenisla (5.5 miles) and Alyth (5.5 miles), with the famous Carnoustie Links a little further afield (30 miles). The fascinating Meigle Museum (9 miles) is home to a display of Pictish stone carvings dating back over a thousand years. The thriving town of Kirriemuir is nearby (8.5 miles), and is the home of Kirriemuir Camera Obscura, the Gateway to the Glens Museum and the JM Barrie Birthplace – in honour of the creator of Peter Pan.
Blairgowrie (12miles) offers a variety of great restaurants, cafes, pubs, supermarkets, independent shops, galleries, leisure facilities and a swimming pool. Lying on the banks of the River Ericht, Blairgowrie is the starting point of the circular 60-mile Cateran Trail. The popular market town of Forfar (14 miles) has a choice of independent shops, restaurants and pubs, and is home to numerous attractions including the Meffan Museum and Art Gallery, Forfar Loch Country Park and the Pitmuies Gardens.
