Another atmospheric yet lesser-visited castle is Kenilworth with its attractive gardens and dizzying towers.
Don’t forget your camera on a trip to Coventry, its stunning cathedrals and numerous historical sites make it a haven for photographers, and just by wandering through the city you’ll discover pretty medieval streets, restaurants, parks, a shopping quarter and places of historical interest.
Stratford-upon-Avon is not only a must for Shakespeare fans, but for everyone who loves being transported back in time with beautiful architecture, fascinating attractions and olde-worlde tearooms. The attractions linked to William Shakespeare are plentiful, including Shakespeare’s Schoolroom and Guildhall, his birthplace, family homes in and around Stratford-upon-Avon, and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre to name but a handful.
Rugby, home of the sport of the same name, is a market town where you’ll find the World Rugby Hall of Fame, as well as an Art Gallery and Museum and a great number of shops. Also on your itinerary should be Leamington Spa, Kenilworth, Alcester, Lapworth, Henley-in-Arden, Coleshill and Nuneaton.
