This stunning house commands prime location on the outskirts and with views of, the picture postcard village of Mevagissey. A short walk down the drive and you are in the heart of this unspoilt Cornish fishing village, that still has strong links to its roots.

Enjoying a hillside position on the edge of the idyllic village of Mevagissey, this imposing nine-bedroom detached property sleeping up to 18 guests, is the perfect choice for large groups seeking a comfortable residence for special celebrations or family gatherings. With two lounges, there is plenty of space for the whole party to relax and the outside space does not disappoint, with a large garden and shared solar-heated swimming pool. Mevagissey is a short walk down the steep hill where you can browse the independent stores and galleries, dine in one of the welcoming restaurants serving freshly-caught fish, and sample Cornish cider in a traditional inn. Hire a pleasure boat in the harbour for a day on the sea or charter a fishing boat and see if you can hook the catch of the day. Discover the local marine life at the informative aquarium or explore the heritage of the area at the Mevagissey Museum.

 

On entering this substantial property, you will be immediately greeted by a sense of space and light with generous-sized reception rooms decorated in soothing shades with homely soft furnishings. As you would expect from a property of this size, the shared areas offer enough space to enjoy each other’s company but also to find a quiet spot to curl up with a good book. Unwind in one of the two lounges, both with comfortable seating and one with an open fire (first basket of logs included) offering fabulous views across the village. Designed with large parties in mind, catering is a breeze in the spacious kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious dinners. Your bright and airy dining room enjoys lovely views across the gardens and offers flexible seating, with tables that can be pushed together for celebratory meals or kept separate for more intimate dining. When it’s time to retire there are nine well-appointed bedrooms, all benefitting from en-suite facilities and many with fabulous sea views. The outside space does not disappoint with spacious gardens where you can dine alfresco on the patio, light the BBQ for a leisurely evening meal, or just sit back with a glass of wine and relax. Enjoy a swim in the shared heated outdoor swimming pool. There is ample parking.

 

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Stroll down to the village and book a group kayak lesson or try your hands at stand-up paddleboarding. Catch the passenger ferry across St Austell Bay to the picturesque village of Fowey for a stroll along the Esplanade towards the harbour and discover the smuggling heritage of the coast in the town museum. Explore the Lost Gardens of Heligan (2 miles), one of the finest in England - the stunning 200 acres of gardens and grounds are a paradise of colours and scents, with shady woodlands and exotic sub-tropical plants. The world-famous Eden Project (9.5 miles) is a short drive away where you can take the tree-top trail above the rainforest, seek out the sculptures hidden in the gardens and fly through the air on England’s longest zip wire.

Welcoming and helpful owners. Spacious, well-equipped house. Ideal for large families / groups. Lovely heated pool. Good location - 15 minute walk on pavements into Mevagissey. 45 minute walk on footpaths to Heligan.

We loved the location which is within walking distance of Mevagissey, albeit up a steep drive and close to Hidden Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project, SouthWest Coast Path and beaches. We really enjoyed the swimming pool. Kitchen is well equipped. The outside terrace has a huge seating area with tables and chairs looking down over the sea. But decor wRead moreas dated and many showers werent very good, but overall it comfortably housed 9 of us and we appreciated the kettles, tea/coffee in each bedroom. Hide

The house was exceptionally well equipped and huge. Comfy chairs and beds. Kitchen was amazing for catering for us all. The location was fabulous, the pool was lovely to look at and in better weather would be lovely to go in too. The road up is steep but for the fit and healthy among our party it wasn't an issue, arthritic dog struggled after a busRead morey day out. The scones and clotted cream left for us were divine. Very enjoyable week dispite the worst week weather wise we have ever had in Cornwall Hide

Treleaven Farm is the best accommodation for groups of adults that I have ever come across after many years of organising group holidays. Great house with plenty of room for large parties. There was 12 of us and we never felt cramped. 9 beds with 10 bathrooms meant we all had our own facilities. Location was great as only a short walk into the village where there were pubs and restaurants to suit everyone.

The house was ideal for our family party of ten adults and five young children. The en- suite bedrooms worked very well and the two lounges were very comfortable, allowing different groups to pursue their activities. The grounds were much appreciated and although we did not have the good weather of earlier weeks the pool was wonderful.
