Sleeping up to 10 guests across five bedrooms, the enticing upside-down home offers bright, open living space and a superior level of comfort. It has an integral, one-bedroom apartment and comes with a hot tub, summer house and games room. From here, spend days out on the beach at Instow and Westward Ho! and enjoy proximity to the pretty fishing village of Appledore.

Make your way into this special property to find three of your bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, on the ground floor. The family bathroom, with its slipper bath, separate shower and WC, is also here, together with a study and a utility room. Also at ground-floor level, find access to the self-contained apartment, with its open-plan lounge/kitchenette/diner, lounge area with Smart TV and double bedroom, with en-suite shower room. Back in the main property, follow the glass staircase up to the first floor and the striking open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This will be the heart of your home during your stay here. Relax in front of the Smart TV, light the chic Scandinavian-style wood burner and adjust the mood lighting to suit. Find the kitchen area, which even features a boiling water tap and wine cooler, ideal for all your needs. Relax at the breakfast bar in the island and set the large table for formal meals all together. Find your fifth bedroom and its shower room and WC situated a few steps up from the lounge. On warm days make your way outside to light the BBQ and sit round the fire pit or in the summer house. What a great property, definitely be booking again. Other than the inability to park on the drive its perfect. The parking issue is easily resolved by the local parking being so close and affordable at 12:20 per week. A stones throw from the Tarka trail we hired bikes from the recommended retailer by the host and they were cheap enough and was our Read morefavourite day. We had 5 days of rain during our week-long stay so the accommodation we stayed in proved to be extremely important. We had an amazing time at the Old School House. The property is stunning and everything that you need is provided. The owners are very friendly and helpful and clean the hot tub each morning. The garden space is great for children and the inside newly decorated. Both adults and children had a great time. We found this an ideal house for a large group. The open plan kitchen/lounge was great for being able to all be together, and the kitchen was well equipped.
