This former village bakehouse is the perfect base for a relaxing break. Unwind with a dip in the hot tub, strike up the BBQ or tuck up beside the wood burner after walking in the beautiful New Forest.

Located in the bustling village of Sway, this stylish character property has enviable access to the coast and the glorious landscape of the New Forest National Park. Perfect for a family gathering or special celebration, this four-bedroom semi-detached property will appeal to groups seeking a luxurious base from which to access the attractions and activities of the area. Hop on your bikes and join the National Cycle Network from the village to explore popular destinations such as Brockenhurst, Wilverley and Bashley. Jump in the saddle for a private group horse riding lesson suitable for all ages and abilities, or for something more unusual, why not book your group into the New Forest Polo School for an introduction to this exhilarating sport? For sociable evenings, stroll to one of the four welcoming village pubs for home-cooked food and local ales.

Boasting many original features, your traditional red-brick cottage offers spacious accommodation with a high-quality design. Bathed in natural light, the inviting lounge is a wonderful place to sit and relax in one of the sumptuous sofas. Original bread ovens line the walls, harking back to the property's past. On cooler evenings, light the wood burner and unwind in front of its flickering flames. Whether rustling up a casual brunch or planning a gourmet supper, the contemporary kitchen has everything you could need. After supper, remove the table-top to reveal the pool table underneath for an evening of family fun. At the end of the day, head upstairs to find three well-appointed bedrooms. Dressed in crisp linens with co-ordinating throws, the master super king-size bedroom benefits from a spacious en-suite shower room. Two further super king-size bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom. A further king-size bedroom can be found on the ground floor. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Enjoy one of the many walks on offer from the village, including the Sway Village Forests and Footpaths Spy Trail taking you around the village to discover its secrets and history. Meander through the cobbled streets of nearby Lymington (5 miles) to gaze on the luxury yachts docked in the marina. Take to the waters of the Solent on a sailing trip or wildlife cruise. Slip and slide around the 200-metre inflatable obstacle course at Lymington Sea Baths (5 miles), see if you can all stand on the giant paddleboard and skim across the water or simply bathe in the rejuvenating seawater. Take a day trip to the Isle of Wight from Lymington Pier and explore the pretty town of Yarmouth.

We had a great stay at The old bake house, its fully equipped with everything you need and more. The welcome bread and tea cakes was a really nice touch and the rooms are all done out beautifully. Spent a lovely weekend in The Old Bakehouse.With 7 adults in the house you didnt feel crowded and felt very spacious. You immediately felt it was home from home, flowers on dining table and in all bedrooms. Tea cakes welcoming with a hot drink. Amazing stay in a cosey cottage. Perfect for a girls weekend getaway. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, wonderful hot tub. Everything nicely thought through to make a relaxing break, from fresh linen and our own dressing gowns, to supplying milk, tea and bread to help with our stay. If you are looking for the storybook new forest location then you can not chose better than sway, and the property itself is truly top end - everything you ever dreamed of having and just right for chilling after a long days walking around the forest - recommended

Fantastic central location for exploring new forest and getting to the beach. The house was fully epuipped with everything you need to create great meals. Awesome butcher just down the road supplied us with 1st class breakfast daily. Everywhere was dog friendly and nearby forest allows your pet to run free. A very comfortable and well thought out property. Lovely immediate location and very close to lots of places to visit, we were out everyday and didn't need to travel for more than 20 mins.
