Or enjoy a spectacular drive over the hills to the market town of Hay-on-Wye with its thirty plus bookshops. For the more active day the Brecon Beacons National Park has a seemingly endless list of country pursuits on offer including, fishing and shooting on the grounds and riding in stables nearby, to name just a few.
