This beautifully contemporary property has been built to high sustainability standards yet draws inspiration from the existing Victorian houses and quaint beach huts found in the local area.

The property is a short walk from a selection of amenities including a golf course, leisure centre and swimming pool, tennis courts, numerous shops, galleries and a selection of beautiful sandy beaches. The South West Coast Path also offers spectacular walking in either direction, and the wetland bird sanctuary and nature reserve some lovely scenery. With the town being conveniently located beside the A39, this is a great location for touring both Devon and Cornwall, and days out could include visits to The Eden Project, the delightful fishing villages of Clovelly, Boscastle, Rock and Padstow, Bodmin Moor, and numerous National Trust properties and gardens.

The property is entered via the second floor and accessed via four steps from the parking area. From here you step into a beautifully light and contemporary living space with the first area being the lounge. This cosy space offers a Smart TV and wood burner, and then another step takes you up to the kitchen/dining area, and from the dining table a low profile window allows you to look out and across to the sea. The kitchen is well-equipped and has a useful breakfast bar, electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. From the kitchen, sliding doors allow you to access a large balcony with seating, BBQ and sea views. The final room on this floor is an additional WC by the front door. From this floor a flight of stairs takes you down to the first floor and here you will find a spacious master super-king-size bedroom with Smart TV, dressing area, en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC, and French doors to an enclosed balcony with seating. Also on this level you will find a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room with WC. There is a small storage room on this floor, perfect for tidying away empty suitcases. Another flight of stairs then takes you down to the ground floor, and here you will find another two bedrooms, a super-king-size with Smart TV, en-suite wet room and WC, and French doors to small enclosed garden area, and another twin bedroom with en-suite shower room with WC. A washer/dryer is conveniently located in the ground floor utility room, and from here a door takes you to the rear of the property where a lockable wetsuit facility is provided with outdoor shower. It is also possible to access this area without walking through the property and instead using the shared rear steps.

Heading outside from the ground floor there is a small enclosed garden area with artificial grass and deck chairs. Private off-road parking for one car is provided directly outside the property, and additional roadside parking can be found nearby.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

This is a wonderful location for anyone wanting a holiday where you dont need a car. Brilliant for walking, body boarding, surfing or just lazing on the beaches. House is equipped for just about all your needs. Our only complaints being a lack of seating in the lounge for more than 4 adults.

This property was perfect for 2 families with teenage kids. Location and view was exceptional. The bedrooms are very spacious with loads of cupboard space. The added basement wet room for wet suits and surf boards is a perfect addition.

This is a lovely bright and open cottage, a stones throw from three beaches and a 10 min walk into town - perfect location. There is plenty of places to walk a dog including fields, cliff tops and the beaches. The kitchen had everything you needed, the bathrooms were beautiful and there is a laundry room and outside shower, ideal for dogs and childRead moreren coming off the beach. As Kiwi's who had just completed a 250k walk across Scotland, we were looking for somewhere to relax. Bude and The Lighthouse did not disappoint. This property ticks nearly all boxes, location, bathrooms, wardrobe space, kitchen area. On a personal level I found the noise from the air circulation system not helpful when trying to sleep. It was as said on the tin. My family thought it was great.
