The property is a boutique retreat offering spacious accommodation for a special break with family or friends. Dating back to 1916 the property presents character complimented with unique furnishings.

Overlooking the river Wye and the village of Ashford-in-the-Water, only 30 yards off The Dukes Drive (A6), everything the gorgeous village of Ashford has to offer is within a short stroll over the infamous Grade II* Listed Sheepwash bridge. The village has country inns serving home-cooked dishes, fine dining, tea room and well-stocked shop with a deli counter. For those yearning to explore the history of some of England’s finest country houses, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are just a short drive away. Meander through the shops and cafes of the pretty market town of Bakewell or simply head up into the Monsal Dale and enjoy the outstanding scenery on foot.

Stepping into the property via the double front door the spacious hallway provides a warm welcome with character staircase, a perfect space for taking off boots and coats after a day on the hills. The social open-plan kitchen/diner is a sleek and stylish space, with range oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and not forgetting the wine fridge. Whether coming together for a lazy breakfast or celebratory drinks there is ample space around the kitchen table and breakfast bar. For that special occasion the separate dining room can accommodate up to eight guests seated around a limed oak round dining table. There is a ground floor wet room with walk in rain shower and a little further beyond is a conservatory with wonderful views with French doors leading directly into the garden. Upstairs bedroom one is a spacious twin, bedroom two is a king-size with en-suite walk in rain shower, bedroom three is a family room with a king-size bed and a generous bunk bed with the final bedroom is also king-sized. The family bathroom offers a stunning copper bath with copper basin, a truly unique space.

Outside the property presents immaculate landscape gardens to three sides, with a private patio area with outdoor seating and BBQ, wonderful on summer evenings. There is space for a hot tub (arranged upon direct request with the owner). There is ample off-road parking.
