The Citrus Villa is a beautifully restored 250-year-old farmhouse set in 20,000m² of countryside. Surrounded by lawns and a range of brightly coloured citrus trees, it has a selection of attractive outside terraces and a sparkling blue swimming pool with plenty of space for relaxing. Set in the charming village of Cas Concos, it is only a short drive from the many wonderful beaches and pretty villages of the island.

The property is a typical Spanish farmhouse with cool terracotta tiles throughout as well as many original artefacts and features. The old stable is now a modern, fully equipped kitchen and the grand hall now houses the regency-style dining table which comfortably seats ten.

An open-plan living room with comfortable sofas and woodburner is perfect for relaxing and there is a corner bar and lots of tech to keep you occupied. A relaxing and cosy snug is used as a quiet reading room and offers tranquility away from the rest of the house.

The villa has five bedrooms, some with views across the orange groves, a master suite with Romanesque style bathroom and dressing room, and four other bedrooms with four bathrooms. Large ceiling fans can be used in hotter weather.

Outside, there is plenty of space within the walled grounds of the villa, and there are five lawned areas, one of which is ideal for children with swing, slide and good-sized sandpit, where adults can also challenge each other to a game of pétanque.

The house overlooks a private, sparkling-blue swimming pool which is surrounded by sun loungers under huge palm trees. For the more energetic, a tennis court is on offer, perfect for cooler evenings before going out to dinner.

SLEEPS 10: 5 bedrooms: 4 doubles, 1 twin.

ADDITIONAL BEDS: There is an open-plan study room that can be used with an extra bed if necessary.

COOK + DINE: A large fully-equipped kitchen, hall with dining table, outside terrace overlooking the pool with large long table, stone benches and chairs. Stone BBQ area with casita next to a shaded seating area, perfect for relaxing while cooking.

RELAX: Study room with lots of books and living room with comfortable sofas and corner bar. Shaded chillout seating area outside.

BATHE: 4 bathrooms.

OUTSIDE: Swimming pool, mature gardens and five lawns, citrus trees including orange, lemon, grapefruit and clementines. Pomegranate and avocado trees. Grassed area with children’s swing, slide and sandpit and various terraces.

TECH: Wi-Fi, Playstation 3, Bose music system, satellite on LED TV.

PLAY: Swimming pool, large sandpit for children, also suitable for pétanque for adults, children’s swings and slide, table tennis, tennis court. Lots of books to read.

PETS: No pets.

VENUE HIRE: This property does not cater for weddings or corporate events.

LOCAL AREA: Cas Concos is a charming little village located in the South of Mallorca, a short drive from the many coastal areas and local towns. The village offers a great selection of both traditional and contemporary restaurants as well as a bakery, pharmacy, supermarket and local bars. A fresh produce market takes place every Wednesday in the shaded square next to the church. You are only 10 km from a wide selection of beaches and all that the coastal resorts have to offer.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY: There are plenty of things to do on the island, you can charter a boat to see the best that the southern coastline has to offer, visit the wine cellars of Bodegas Angel, hire bikes which can be delivered to the villa, perfect to explore the island. The Palma Aquarium in the capital is worth a visit, as well as the spectacular cathedral which dominates the city. Try to visit when it is lit up at night as it truly is the most majestic sight.
