Get everyone together for a luxury stay to suit family members across multiple generations and enjoy time in the wonderful Dorset countryside. Offering a stylish space for everyone to sleep and a warming family kitchen, you'll find no trouble feeling right at home throughout your stay. Sleeping eight with an optional pull-out bed for a child, the property is ideal for your celebratory family reunion.

Whilst this Grade II property is bursting with history and offers traditional elements such as exposed beams and fireplaces, it's also been thoroughly modernised to suit any 21st-century family. The heart of this house is its ground-floor open-plan living area, which offers both living room and kitchen in one sociable space. Sink into one of the many sofas or armchairs and enjoy a Blu-ray DVD on the 3D TV in the evening. The traditional kitchen is warmed throughout by an AGA-style oven, which handily comes with a cookbook to help you get used to using it. When you've prepared your family meal, you'll want to utilise the spacious dining room with charming inglenook fireplace, perfect for celebrating a special occasion. Or perhaps you'd like to take tea on the terrace, where outdoor furniture creates the perfect private garden - the ideal spot to dine alfresco. Four bedrooms across the house offer space for everyone to rest after a long day, including a luxury master bedroom with king-size bed, TV with Blu-ray and built-in window-side bath. You'll also find a pretty twin room hidden in the eaves, accessible via a winding cottage-style staircase.

Located in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it'll be no surprise to find that beautiful rural countryside completely envelopes the property. The village of Corfe Castle is, in itself, a National Trust spot named after the castle ruins that lie there. You'll find these ruins less than 500 metres from your very doorstep, visit via journeying through the pretty village square and passing a handful of local pubs and cafes. Kids will adore learning about the castle's rich history and perhaps even catching a medieval falconry display. For those young ones not as satisfied by history, the wet and wild Dorset Adventure Park is just under 1 mile from the property and will no doubt satisfy the wildest of children. For a seaside spot, take a trip 5.5 miles south to the coastal town of Swanage, where a golden beach offers wonderfully clean water and soft sands.

Lovely old cottage, with loads of character, plenty of space and in pristine condition. Beautiful garden. All equipment which you might need for a self catering holiday is available. It's a 3/4 minute walk to four different pub/restaurants, many cafes and craft shops, a convenience store and, of course the castle. The 2 parking permits are importanRead moret as there's very limited parking on the road itself; the parking slots are about a 3 minute walk from the house. Hide

I will use the much over used word, stunning, to describe it. We stayed for a family birthday, ages 13 to 68 and even 15 year old grandson commented on its gorgeousness! Nice house if a little rough round the edges. A tap broke during our visit and others were on their way to failing. The Aga is a waste of space and very unsustainable being on all the time and not easy to cook on. The road is a bit noisy from 6:30am till 9pm though we were out a lot so it wasnt a real bother. The club next door was a bit loud on SaRead moreturday night but again only if you were on the patio or had the windows open at the back. For the money Id look elsewhere as not worth 2000+. Hide

Beautiful cottage, great location. Car parking worked well, I was worried about that but it worked OK and we could quickly park up outside to unload before parking. Corfe Castle is just beautiful, lovely pubs/walks and the little shop at the corner opposite the pub is brilliant! Cottage is full of character, garden is huge and lovely.

Reasonable property in a lovely village but shock that front of property borders main road. Hardly the rural idyll we anticipated. Property needs a thorough upgrade and should have at least one en suite bathroom . Not value for money

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Decor, linen/bedding etc all lovely quality. Ample kitchen equipment and so much space generally for our party of five. Sampled a couple of the local eateries and would recommend both, The Bankes Arms for decent pub grub, and the pink goat for something a little quirky.
