Perched on a 10-acre hilltop with views across the sparkling Mediterranean and Africa in the distance, the Spanish Farmhouse Estate offers a fabulous bespoke holiday experience. Situated in between three mountain ranges, it is a haven of tranquillity and serenity, perfect for those looking for privacy and ultimate relaxation. At the start of the Mudéjar Route, a famous trail of typical Moorish whitewashed villages, you are under half an hour away from the beach and near enough to the magnificent cities of Granada, Sevilla and Cordoba to drive there and back on the same day.
The property sleeps 14 and consists of seven bedrooms across two separate dwellings, with the Farmhouse sleeping eight and the Hunting Lodge sleeping six. Far enough apart to ensure privacy but close enough to share the estate, the houses are separated by walls and mature gardens but come together as the perfect location for a holiday with family and friends.
The Farmhouse, built on the site of an ancient farm dwelling, has a sense of rustic Andalucian charm but with a contemporary twist. Hand-stitched tapestries and Spanish antiques blend into local, natural materials to give an elegant and modern style. Particularly special is the hammam-style bath in the master suite, which also boasts an open-air shower room for showers al fresco!
Higher up the mountain, the recently renovated Hunting Lodge offers a contemporary residence with three en-suite double bedrooms, private pool and numerous terraces with spectacular views. With a slightly more bohemian style than the Farmhouse, its rooms with spectacular art deco furniture lead out to various shady courtyards, gardens, an outside kitchen and dining/lounge area as well as cinema.
The private terraces and sprawling garden spaces allow room for both socialising and spending time alone. There is an impressive swimming pool and poolside garden with ancient eucalyptus and palm trees where you can sit for a little respite from the sun. A covered spa cabana located in the water garden is also a perfect place to relax. Sitting at the edge of the pool terrace you will feel quite literally on top of the world, as the valleys below you reach out to the Mediterranean Sea beyond.
