Set in a delightful gated holiday complex, this charming cottage, with access to a heated swimming pool, is ideal for guests wanting to explore Dorset’s historic Jurassic Coast.

Situated in the traditional Dorset seaside village of Charmouth, this gated holiday complex offers a selection of well thought out, purpose-built accommodation within these converted former farm buildings. With onsite leisure facilities for all ages, the property is also conveniently located just a short stroll from the village amenities and Charmouth beach. Also nearby is the wonderful town of Lyme Regis, with its fossil-rich beach and historic Cobb, a beautiful unspoilt seafront with sheltered south-facing beaches and traditional deckchairs that line the promenade in the summer. The Jurassic coastline has been designated as England's first Natural World Heritage Site and spans nearly one hundred miles of the Dorset and East Devon coastline. There are many attractions in the area including the charming resorts of Beer, Branscombe, Crealy Adventure Park and numerous National Trust properties and gardens to name but a few.

On entering the property you will find yourself in the cosy and bright open-plan lounge/diner. With a TV/DVD, the lounge is snug and ideal for relaxing in at the end of the day. The light and airy dining area is ideally placed and there are French doors opening out to the patio. Moving into the well-equipped kitchen, you will find an integrated oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Exploring further you will find a twin bedroom on the ground floor, which has zip-and-link beds and can be made up into a super-king-size upon prior request. There is also a ground-floor wet room with WC. Going upstairs you will find three further bedrooms. There is a king-size room with a TV and en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Please note this room does have a low sloping ceiling. There are also two comfy twin rooms. Also on the first-floor is a bathroom, complete with shower over the bath and WC.

Heading outside, you can relax in the private patio area with garden furniture, ideal for enjoying meals and drinks outdoors. Guests are invited to enjoy the neighbouring holiday park which includes a shared, covered outdoor heated swimming pool (available during specific dates only and not available all year, please refer to the 'need to know' section for details), Char Valley Café which serves speciality teas and coffees and a shared outdoor children's play area. For a reduced charge and available to adults, is the well-equipped Char Valley Health Club, including a gym, indoor pool, sauna and steam room.

Due to the current situation with Covid-19 the shared facilities advertised at this property will be unavailable during July 2020 initially and this is subject to change/extension due to any further lifting of Government restrictions.

Please note there is a refundable £100 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

  • 4 bedrooms – on the first floor, 1 king-size with en-suite and 2 twins; on the ground floor, 1 twin with zip-and-link beds which can be made up into a super-king-size upon request at time of booking
  • 1 en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC; 1 bathroom with shower over bath and WC on the first floor; 1 wet room with WC on the ground floor
  • Kitchen - electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer
  • TV and DVD in the lounge, TV in the king-size bedroom
  • Electric and central heating included
  • Wi-Fi available for an additional charge payable onsite - typical charges per week for 2 devices is £15.00 and for 5 devices is £25.00 (please note Wi-Fi speeds may vary, therefore this connection may be unsuitable for streaming movies and games etc.)
  • Swimming pool - use of the covered outdoor heated swimming pool is included for guests and is open for the following dates in 2020: 4th April – 17th April, 9th-11th May, 23rd May – 4th September, 23rd – 29th October. The pool is open 7 days a week in the main school summer holidays between 10am-5pm and closed for lunch. Details of the pool opening times outside of the summer holiday period are available on request, please call for more info.
  • Health Club and Café - opening times are: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday (closed for lunch), 9am-1pm Sat and Sun.

We had stayed a few times over the years on the touring site and love the area. The family has grown now and a tourer is no longer an option, so went for a cottage. It didn't disappoint it had loads of room and well appointed. Everything you could need is provided and with 7 adults and 3 year old it never felt cramped. 10 min walk from the beach anRead mored cliff top walks. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. Lovely house. Small kitchen. Staff very helpful and attentive. Very quick to help with any issues. Close to the beach and other amenities. Great base. Club house curry night . Food was beautiful. Staff great. Pool would of been better opening at 6am for our party to enjoy an early swim before setting off for the day. Instead opened later. All in alRead morel lovely accommodation.
