We loved the house and the garden, very comfortable and homely, the only downside for us was not being able to walk from the house with the dogs without avoiding the busy roads.

This was a perfect cottage for our family at New Year. Very comfortable and plenty of space with different areas where we could get together. One of the loveliest aspects were the beautiful views from every window. I would have given it a ten overall if there had been a coffee machine - but I am a bit of a coffeeholic!

We had a three night stay in scarah cottage for a family get together. The cottage and gardens were beautiful. Ideal location, 15 min walk from pub, butchers and shop in the lovely village of Ripley. As the weather was fantastic we had a BBQ on the Sunday. For the price we paid I would have thought the housekeeper could have left a spare toiletRead more roll in each bathroom, we had to go out and buy more. Also we did not use the dishwasher as we didn't think of taking any dishwasher tablets. Thought 3 could have been left for our stay. Apart from that we would definitely go back to scarah cottage. We had a wonderful week staying at Scarah Cottage. The cottage itself is picture perfect-the idyllic Yorkshire country cottage, and we loved having sheep as our only neighbours. There is plenty of space for everyone. We had a party of 6 adults and 2 pre-school age children, but we were never under each others feet. The weather was mostly glorious aRead morend so we were able to take advantage of the gorgeous garden and the barbecue. The owners were on hand to answer any questions and had left a lovely welcome hamper, which was such a nice surprise. Ripley is an easy 15 minute walk, and Harrogate and Knaresborough are a short drive away. We will definitely be staying at Scarah Cottage again. A delightful place for a country escape. Hide

Some of us even spotted the rRead moreesident weasel in the garden. Washing machine/drier was very useful, pool table enjoyed by all. Kitchen generally well stocked Even food processor and hand blender. Lovely garden. Some low ceilings. Great for visiting Ripley Castle, Fountains Abbey, Harrogate,Brimham Rocks etc. etc. Hide
