Sandy beaches and traditional seaside fairs are a simple day trip away with beautiful coastal towns such as Robin Hood Bay and Saltburn to see, the area is also a mecca for wildlife lovers and walkers with a myriad of paths and tracks to navigate including of course the famous Yorkshire Moors. Arriving at this elegant listed stately home through the gated entrance, guests will immediately notice how the impeccable furnishings and decor have stayed true to its historical origins.
Enter into the magnificent entrance hall with open fire and grand staircase to the first floor. Turning to the first of the formal reception rooms, the lounge offers a place to relax after a day exploring the local area, spend time with friends and family on the comfortable sofas while the open fire roars or catch up with any must see programmes on the smart TV. Guests could alternatively choose to spend time in the library, a beautiful room with sunlight flooding through the tall windows and the ideal place to dance away the evening and celebrate a special occasion, with the perfect backdrop created by the stunning formal dining room. Comfortably seating all guests and with views out to the private grounds, the experience can be enhanced by professional chefs and butlers, which need to be booked in advance. Should less formal dining be required, guests will find the bespoke kitchen, well-equipped to cater for any meal with range of appliances including an aga, electric oven and induction hob, three fridges, freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher, as well as a table and centre island on which to grab a bite to eat. Completing the ground floor is a bar area, found at the bottom of the stairs, where guests can create their favourite cocktails. Ascending the staircase, you will find the exquisitely furnished generously sized bedrooms arranged over two floors, all of which have their own individual design and have been named after historical figures connected with the Hall’s rich heritage. On the first floor the bedrooms include, Leven Grove, a super-king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC, Mrs Jordan, a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room and WC and Lady Amelia, a further super-king-size bedroom benefiting from a stunning en-suite bathroom with centre bath, separate shower and WC, this bedroom also has a balcony. There is also Lord Falkland, a super-king-size bedroom with additional sofa bed which can accommodate two guests, also with en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC. Robert Ropner, a king-size bedroom with en-suite wet room with shower and WC and finally, Yvonne Boville, a further king-size bedroom with additional sofa bed, which can accommodation two guests. Completing the first floor is a shower room with shower and WC. Moving up to the second floor, guests will find the remaining bedrooms which include, Salvin, a king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC, Malbrough, a further king-size bedroom, there is also a separate shower room located across the hallway with shower and WC. For those who enjoy spending any downtime outdoors, there are seven acres of mature grounds in which the stately home sits, guests may make use of the wide open spaces for picnics, a spot of croquet or simply running off any excess energy. Delightful walks may discover the resident peacocks or the River Leven, while children will no doubt love the treehouse and swing. There is ample off-road parking for 30 cars.
Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
