This lovely, four-bedroom property in Alnmouth comfortably sleeps eight guests and is ideal for groups of friends or large families. It is a great location to explore the Northumberland coast and the pretty villages in the area. The beach is just across the road from the property, ideal for a family day out soaking up the sun or playing beach volleyball with friends. Film and TV buffs will love visiting the nearby Alnwick Castle, 5 miles away. It is instantly recognisable as the filming location for Downton Abbey, and Hogwarts from the Harry Potter series.

Guests enter the maisonette through a communal entrance where there are stairs leading up to the spacious and bright living room. There are plenty of comfortable chairs and sofas here with a bay window seat looking out towards the beach and sea. This lounge is an ideal area for the whole group to sit and enjoy the views while cosying down in front of the wood burner. The contemporary kitchen has lots of storage and surface space around a large table with benches. There is a separate laundry room with a washing machine, which will come in handy for keeping walking clothes or beachwear clean. There are four generous bedrooms across three floors, one of which is an en-suite. Outside is a private patio area with table and chairs for guests to enjoy al fresco dining together. Ample parking is available outside the property.

Pubs, cafes and independent shops are less than 300 metres from the property so you will never be too far from all the amenities you will need during your stay here. Alnmouth is one of the liveliest villages in the area, with plenty of events happening every year including an arts festival, food festival and a raft race. There is also a golf club and children’s play area and the magnificent sandy beaches to enjoy. For those keen on walking, you will find lots of great routes around the area along both the coast and into the countryside. The picturesque harbour villages of Craster is 9 miles and Newton-by-Sea is 11.5 miles away. You can walk between the two and visit Dunstanburgh Castle along the way. Visit the Aln Valley Railway, which is 6 miles away, where you can ride a steam train and explore the small heritage museum. Alnwick Garden, home to one of the world’s largest wooden tree houses, is 5 miles away and a great day out for all the family.

We had a lovely 3 night break, Beccy was very helpful asking us in advance how we wanted the beds to be configured and letting us know when the property was ready for us. The location is stunning, looking onto the beach which our four children loved, shops and pubs close by. Very well equipped and all the basics provided, including logs for the logRead more burner, buckets and spades etc. Good walks from the doorstep - we walked down to Warkworth along the beach and caught the bus back. A beautifully positioned, comfortable, clean and welcoming house. We had a lovely stay at Riverside. It was perfect for us as a family of five including two teenagers and Granny :-) Beds were really comfortable and we loved the great selection of books, games and jigsaws that kept us busy on rainier days. I hadn't appreciated at booking that this was a property split into 2 apartments. We stayed in the upstairs apartment. Once past the unappealing entrance hallway the property is a real home from home despite its quirky layout on 3 levels. Yards from Alnmouth's superb beach, with stunning views from both the front and back of the property. Spacious and well equipped, in a jewel of a small coastal village. Hoping to go back for a third visit next year.

The house and location were perfect for us to enjoy a Spring family break together. Everything was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was more than adequately stocked with everything that we needed to cook for seven people. We would happily book another break in this house when we can get away together again.

What a great location, the house was clean, warm and comfortable. A good size, well equipped kitchen which even had a separate deep freezer (great for ice and frozen dog food). Definitely we book again.

An excellent apartment in a really convenient location. Alnmouth is a delightful village and the flat has great views of the sea and river estuary. The coastal path is just outside the door. This is a beautiful well appointed property. Loads of space, decent sized bedrooms and good sized kitchen. The front living room however can't be beaten for the view. We had a great time here and would love to come back some day. The owner contacted us the day before to check on how we wanted the bedrooms set up which was really helpful.

Couldn't get a better location for scenery, sea and Swallows - 2 perch on the wires outside - close tio the window. Wonderful bid life and song in the area. Highly recommended as a relaxing place and well equipped property with the best views. Alnmouth locals friendly and smiley giving the whole place a warm and welcoming air.

We had a wonderful stay at Riverside, the house was cos but roomy and spotlessly clean. The views from front and rear windows was fabulous, the small sun terrace a real bonus. I have stayed in a number of properties here, but this is so far the best! I look forward to a return visit.
