Furnished beautifully throughout, this gated property has all the equipment you could ask for in a lavish, relaxing break with a large family or group of friends.

This beautifully furnished one-story retreat could comfortably be described as a luxury-style ranch house. Gated, with a large secure garden hosting a fully enclosed play area, a hot tub and a summerhouse it's the perfect home from home. However the beach is calling; a 3-mile stretch of sand at Gwithian, on which to build sandcastles, sunbathe or just get gloriously windswept. This luxurious house is in the village of Barripper that sits in the path of the Pilgrim's Way to St. Michael's Mount. You can walk to the local pub, the hub of the village, for drinks and food. On your return to the ranch, curl up on the cushions in the BBQ lodge whilst the steaks are sizzling or, warm your cockles around the wood burner on the reclining armchairs in the lounge. Perhaps take some time out on a lounger at the summerhouse with a good book. There is space for all of you, plus the dogs, with six bedrooms and bathrooms and the piece de resistance; a 12-seated dining table to gather around and share food, drinks and conversation.

The chic open-plan living space really works well here with all the open bits in the right place. The games room, for instance, is separate from the main living space so the cinema, jukebox and pool table cannot disturb the pleasant background music in the kitchen/dining/lounge area. Natural light floods in through the two sets of patio doors and the additional kitchen table makes for an extremely sociable cooking experience. Savour the flavours of local produce, perhaps a seafood platter to tempt with some local Cornish wine. Did we mention the wine cooler and the coffee machine – essentials for a successful vacation. The BBQ lodge offers an alternative dining option, outdoors but indoors, where you can create a treasure trove of holiday memories. If you can prise the children away from the adventure playground and the sandpit, the freestanding bath will hold several of them at a time. Choosing bedrooms could be difficult, all have sumptuous bedding, calming colour pallets and five en suite, but the master bedroom, with a four-poster bed is so definitely yours.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The spectacular long beach is split into three parts; Black Cliff Beach (Upton Towans) is dog friendly all year round, the main beaches of Gwithian and Hayle Towan only allow dogs out of season. There are delicious little cafes and coffee huts dotted along the front for refreshments and the seaside town of Gwithian is charming - all this just 4.5 miles from your property. Also, it's an easy 12.5 miles to the iconic St. Ives with winding lanes, artisan food shops, seafood restaurants and retro vintage stores.

Xmas Holiday-Exactly what we were looking for, a spacious property with enough rooms for 2 large families, well equipped (I didn't think we missed anything really) and a lovely Family Pub a 2min walk, great Xmas dinner. Plenty of dog walking routes and only 25mins into Camborne, path all the way. Probably stay again in the future.

Property was so well equipped and very comfortable for our party of 11. Hot tub was great fun. Bbq hut was fab and despite negative reviews, we found it very clean. Overall we loved this property and would recommend it to others

Beautiful holiday home , very well equipped for all ages and in a lovely setting. Our family of 11 had an amazing stay and made full use of the hot tub and barbecue cabin.
