Escape the stresses of everyday life in this idyllic rural location close to the North Somerset coast. A warm welcome awaits at this spacious Georgian farmhouse that adjoins the owner's home, but privacy is assured. It’s perfect for groups of friends and families alike, with up to three dogs welcome to ensure no one misses out on a memorable holiday. The four bedrooms can accommodate up to ten people, and there’s plenty of space both inside and out so you won’t feel cramped. There’s a large lounge for movie nights and garden games for when you take the party outside. You can even help to feed the chickens and collect freshly laid eggs with the owner's supervision. It’s a great spot for a holiday any time of the year, whether you’re here for summer, the autumn carnival season or Christmas.

This semi-detached house has a wealth of period features, from the ornate Georgian hallway and original staircase to the exposed brick fireplace in the lounge. The rooms are lavishly furnished with sumptuous fabrics throughout. Grab a bite to eat at the breakfast bar before heading out to bag the best spot on the beach or take your time over meals sat round the dining table together. Spend your downtime relaxing in the large colourful lounge in front of the cosy wood burner and the TV. On the ground floor you’ll also find a shower room and double bedroom – excellent for accessibility. The other bedrooms are upstairs, and all are individually styled. The master bedroom is perfect for a family of four as it features a king-size bed and two bunk beds for the kids. At the front of the property is a large enclosed garden where you can dine alfresco on the patio and play games on the lawn.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

There are a host of family attractions in the area that will go down a treat with all ages. Weston-super-Mare is 5 miles from the property and is the place to go for some good old-fashioned seaside fun. Think donkey rides, fish and chips and slot machines. Brean Leisure Park (4.5 miles) has thrilling roller coaster rides, a waterpark and live entertainment that will keep the little ones quiet for a few hours. Cheddar Gorge (13 miles) and Wookey Hole (18 miles) both have a spectacular network of caverns to explore, as well as a host of other activities. The city of Wells (20 miles) offers a quieter alternative to theme parks, with its beautiful cathedral, narrow cobbled streets and boutique shops.

Cottage was to my taste really enjoyed my stay owners of cottage very helpful and very welcoming liked the fact it was on a working farm will book again

A rambling old Georgian farmhouse great for children to explore and dogs.
