Delightful farmhouse full of character with thick stone walls, ancient old oak beams and a large open fireplace. Set in 100 private acres with fantastic views across the Black Mountains.

Truly immerse yourself in the beautiful Brecon Beacons landscape and enjoy a completely rural retreat. Set against rolling hills and bright green fields, this converted farmhouse is honestly in the middle of nowhere, perfect for escaping busy city life and enjoying the endless space that surrounds you. With four bedrooms and an optional sofa bed, you can comfortably sleep a party of eight or ten, and the quaint bedroom interiors make it the perfect home to bring younger children to.

Whilst the property boasts traditional themes that set is apart as a country farmhouse, it has been modernised in most places and strikes the perfect balance between contemporary and classic. You'll find raw, exposed beams and historic wooden door frames alongside a stylish bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen is an open-plan living area with large dining table to one side of the room. Two walls surrounding this dining area and have floor-to-ceiling windows offering a remarkable panorama of the surrounding Black Mountains. The property has a handy boot room, so you won't worry about your muddy boots being traipsed through the house. The family will love settling into the living room or downstairs snug, and as well as the TV and DVD player, you'll find a selection of kid's games and toys. Be sure to stick some logs on the wood burner and settle down with a glass of wine or a luxurious hot chocolate. Head to bed and you'll find a super king-size master bedroom, as well as a double, twin and charming bunk bedroom for sleepy young heads. As the property is located on 100 acres of private land, it's safe to say that the garden is of generous size. Enjoy an al fresco meal at the outdoor dining table and let the kids tire themselves out in the nearby fields.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Please note there is a refundable £250 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

SLEEPS 2 - 8 (+ 2): Four upstairs bedrooms: A super king-size master bedroom, a double, a twin and a childrens bunk bed room. There is a downstairs playroom which can be made up instead of the bunk beds if preferred. There is also a sofa bed available to sleep up to 2 additional people (there is a £35 surcharge per person to make up the sofa bed or the downstairs bedroom). Please note that all upstairs bedrooms are accessed via a steep staircase, so care must be taken at all times.

BATHING: Luxury wet room / family bathroom with great views, a huge shower and bath tub positioned in front of a fireplace.  Downstairs wet room, basin and loo. Fluffy towels included, and water is supplied from our very own spring!

RELAXING: Sitting room, with open fireplace, first batch of logs included, television, dvd player, iPod dock, original art work and under floor heating. Wi-fi, please be aware that this can be patchy due to the remote location. There is a downstairs snug, with sofabed and a downstairs playroom with stunning views and toys / games available.

DINING: Large kitchen / dining area, with underfloor heating, huge oak windows looking out across the mountains, solid oak hand built kitchen, zinc work tops, walk in larder, electric double oven, hob and butler sink.

BOOTS & MUD: Boot room, perfect for hanging coats, keeping boots, washing off the mud. Laundry facilities with washing machine.

PETS: Up to 2 dogs are accepted on the understanding that they please stay in the kitchen/boot room area...underfloor heated and a good size, they'll love it!

VEHICLE ACCESS: The lower track leading to the property is narrow and steep in places. Due to the remote location of the property and with it being on farmland, it is advisable to use a 4x4 in winter months. Please note that the property is not suitable for home delivieries.

OFFER: 20% discount for couples booking out of school holidays and only using one bedroom.

Patrishow is a fabulous house and fully deserves its reputation as the best holiday cottage in Wales.

Wonderful cottage with amazing views, lovely walks on hand. Plenty of space so comfortable for all 9 of us. Both staircases are very narrow and not suitable for someone unsteady on their feet like my 80 yr old father. Make sure you take additional toilet roll as little available & a long way from the nearest shop, make sure you have all your food wRead moreith you! A lovely cottage with lots of character & charm, very tranquil & you felt you had left the humdrum of everyday life behind and could relax Hide

A rural idyll perched half way up a mountain side, truly isolated and hidden from the rest of the World.

Patrishow is very remote but more than lives up to its reputation as the finest holiday cottage in Wales. Highly recommended.

This is a stunning property that really does deliver on the promise of getting away from it all. Highly recommended. Just make sure you take everything you need with you as the owners dont provide anything in the way if basic essentials, spare loo paper or toiletries.

We had an amazing week with family and friends at Patrishow Farm. It is secluded, peaceful and has stunning views. The house is rustic and is full of character but also has modern conveniences for comfort. Lovely walks straight from the door and Sugar Loaf within easy reach. We would stay here again. Patrishow Farm a very special place.
