The cottage is very characterful and has a feel of a family home which has been given a new life as a holiday home. The accommodation was comfortable but felt 'lived-in' more so than some other cottages. This cottage is spacious with a large well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and good sized bedrooms with plenty of wardrobe space. The whole house is comfortably decorated and there are good sized gardens at the front and rear and plenty of car parking space.

There were only 4 of us and two dogs so there was plenty of space. We found the furnishings to be comfortable as were the beds. In terms of location, Glasson is in a very quiet area with little traffic and village shops are few and far between. The nearby estuary is spectacular (but take care on the sands) and Hadrian's Wall Walk starts/ends in neaRead morerby Bowness on Solway. If you're seeking tourist attractions then you'll have to travel south to Keswick or west to Carlisle. Hide

Perfect for our needs as a large family of 4 adults, 4 children and a small dog. Great childrens play park 50 meters away with no road to cross. Pity the local pub has closed down.
