This exceptional former sporting lodge in Kingussie comes complete with its own golf and tennis course makes the perfect destination for families and groups of friends seeking somewhere truly special for their vacation. Beautifully styled with handmade staircases, wood panelled walls, beams with hand carved Ossian quotations all create a luxurious and indulgent ambience where relaxation is guaranteed. Gather together for sociable evenings in the wood-panelled drawing room where large windows overlooking the grounds are framed with opulent drapery. Fires at both ends of the room fill the space with their gentle heat for intimate or large social events. Host dinner parties in the elegant dining room where up to 20 guests can be accommodated around the stylish table with bespoke lighting. Sleeping up to 14 guests across seven individually designed en-suite bedrooms, a further two guests can be accommodated in the cosy bothy. Spend your days exploring the well-maintained estate grounds or practising your swing on the lodge’s very own nine-hole golf course stretching away from the house. There is also an all-weather tennis court and trout fishing is available by arrangement on the Upper Spey that runs through the estate. If you can bear to leave your wonderful holiday home then the bustling mountain village of Kingussie (5 miles) offers outdoor activities including climbing, pony trekking and water sports whilst the hilltop resort of Aviemore (13 miles) is popular with walkers and snow sport enthusiasts.

Boasting luxurious interiors and indulgent social spaces, your stylish holiday home has a warm and welcoming feel from the moment you step into the property. The kitchen is a large bright space with top of the range appliances that make catering a joy. The large central island is ideal for sitting and enjoying a glass of wine with the nominated chef. The dining room that seats up to 20 guests is a modern creation of wooden beams, hand-carved chandeliers and beautiful wooden floors where you will want to linger over a post-supper aperitif late into the night. The next-door morning room is a bright and light space for board games and conversation. The more formal drawing room with plush sofas to sink into, has fires at each end creating a space for relaxation and rejuvenation. There are seven beautifully appointed bedrooms within the lodge, the first of which can be found on the ground-floor – a king-size zip-and-link bedroom with en-suite shower room. Ascend the rear staircase to discover two twins with views across to the Cairngorm National Park and a spacious bathroom. The main staircase leads to the wonderful master suite with king-size bed, mountain views and en-suite bathroom with separate shower. Also enjoying stunning views are the three further zip and link twin bedrooms, all enjoying en-suite facilities. Behind the house is a small charming bothy that is fully self-contained compact and sleeps two in a queen-size box bed accessed by ladder-style stairs. Outside is a natural stone patio for alfresco drinks breathing in the mountain air. There is a well-maintained nine- hole golf course and an all-weather tennis court for the energetic. There is ample parking at the property.

This is a fantastic base for exploring the Cairngorms and Aviemore, with a wealth of activities to try. The property is close to the School of Mountain Biking which offers a range of services including bike hire, skills coaching and guided rides through this beautiful area. The Upper Spey offers salmon and trout fishing, and avid birdwatchers can head to RSPB Insh Marshes (0.5 miles) which covers 6 square miles of the floodplain near Kingussie, and which is home to curlews, lapwings, redshanks, snipes and whooper swans. You can also explore the remains of Ruthven Barracks (1.5 miles), visit the popular RZSS Highland Wildlife Park (10.5 miles) or meet the residents of the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre (18 miles).

The nearby town of Kingussie (2.5 miles) offers a variety of places to eat and drink, and is a great base for activities including climbing, rambling, river walks, pony trekking, water sports and winter sports. The 18-hole Kingussie Golf Club (3 miles), which rises 1,000 feet above sea level, was founded in 1891 and offers extraordinary views over the Cairngorms National Park. The popular village of Aviemore (16 miles) is known for activities including a range of snow sports, sailing, biking and skiing. Other local attractions include Loch Insh (6 miles), Loch Alvie (12 miles), the Rothiemurchus Estate (14 miles) and the Speyside Distillery (1.5 miles).
