A stones throw from the quayside in the delightful village of Appledore and offering surprisingly spacious accommodation, this fabulous property provides a great base for a relaxing family holiday.

With three floors of spacious rooms and sociable open-plan living, this stunning period property is the perfect spot for entertaining and catching up with family and friends. Sleeping ten across five light and bright bedrooms, there is room for everyone. Discover the hidden basement snug which has been transformed into a games room, soak up the estuary view from the balcony, and enjoy the fresh sea air in the Mediterranean-style enclosed courtyard. And that's all before stepping outside and exploring picturesque Appledore and beyond.

Experience the wow factor from the moment you enter your home away from home, with a light and spacious hallway and a spectacular oak and glass staircase in front of you, cutting through all three floors of the property. An impressive vaulted ceiling in the lounge/kitchen/diner adds height and airiness, while exposed beams and a warming wood burner add a gentle homely charm. The room also features hidden snug areas where you can retire for a little peace and quiet with your favourite book. French doors lead onto an enclosed balcony – a wonderful spot for your morning coffee – while an informal dining area makes a great space to unwind with good food and wine. Heading back downstairs to the ground floor, you'll find four beautiful bedrooms, all with a welcoming mix of antique and contemporary furnishings. The master bedroom even enjoys its own private balcony, while the fifth bedroom can be found on the lower ground floor. A spacious games room boasting large sofas, a TV, and a multi-game table with table tennis, air hockey and pool awaits, perfect for challenging family and friends after dinner or on a rainy day. On summer evenings, relax on the garden furniture in the courtyard, with a BBQ allowing you to make the most of the weather. There is roadside parking subject to availability and further parking can be found in the nearby public car park.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Soak up the olde-worlde charm of Appledore, a popular fishing village where you will find the quayside, as well as excellent bars and eateries, within walking distance. From here you can access the striking South West Coast Path, which stretches a staggering 630 miles, and the Tarka Trail. Relax on the golden sands at Westward Ho! (3 miles) or Instow (5.5 miles) or catch waves at the surfing beaches of Croyde (20.5 miles), Saunton (18 miles) and Woolacombe (22.5 miles). From nearby Bideford (4 miles), take a day trip to explore the rugged beauty of Lundy Island. Meanwhile, families will love a day out at The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks (4 miles and 11.5 miles).

Perfect for a family get together. Five generous bedrooms, three ensuites and a family bathroom. The living accommodation has the Wow factor. Two dishwashers was a good idea and there were two ovens. Wow what a lovely place owners have made a really nice job and everything you could ever need is there. Never seen so many gadgets , pots and pans in one kitchen. If carlsberg made holliday homes they would make them just like this one.

The property is gorgeous and spacious, in a quaint and delightful location. Well placed for local ameneties. Everything was layed out pefectly well, access to the property is easy. Contact was very friendly and explained the check in situation superbly. Can only hope the hosts were as happy with us, as guests, as we were with the place!
