Noble Escape presents you with the opportunity to step back in time and immerse yourself in the medieval surroundings of an ancient property boasting a rich and incredible past. Dating back to the 12th century and once a grange building until the Dissolution – it then fell into the hands of Henry VIII and has been artfully restored (and thoughtfully updated) to showcase elements of its riveting history to visitors, whilst offering a unique and pleasant place to stay.
The characterful property offers seven opulently decorated bedrooms; three with king-sized beds and two doubles. The beds are hand-carved and ornate – four of which are four-poster. Very befitting of their surroundings and wonderfully inviting. There is also one triple bedroom and one twin on the ground floor and an additional single bed in one of the king-sized suites.
Social spaces include a kitchen boasting a number of period features that also cleverly incorporate modern amenities such as American-style fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. The dining room is delightfully regal, perfect for banquet-style meals en masse. The main lounge features an enormous Medieval fireplace, exposed beams and stone floor and is a cosy and inviting space for all to gather of an evening, whilst the second reception room is a comfortable and quiet area for playing board games.
Historic, unique and charming, a visit to Noble Escape will certainly evoke a degree of nobility in you and an essence of Welsh magic that’s sure to linger long after you return home.
